The inverter design for improving current waveforms using only reactors and capacitors is described. Some effects of harmonics on induction motor is reduced when the improved inverter applied to digital PLL speed control system. This paper also presented a determinating method of dynamic response and stability of system using microprocessor-based digital filter. Excellent speed regulation was obtained by the improved control system.
GTO Thyristor를 利用한 電力變煥 裝置에 關한 硏究

Thyristor phase control converters which are natural commutation devices with stable switching loci and simple circuit structure have been used widely as three phase power converters. However these converters have many weak points; the power factor changes very sensitively to the variation of phase, and the low-order harmonic components of input current are also large. Therfore several authors have proposed the forced commutation pulse width modulation methods for solving these problems. But these PWM methods which make use of the forced commutation also have the serious defect of complicated circuit structure. To overcome the above problems, this paper proposes a new method with simple circuit structure which make use of the Gate Turn-Off(GTO) thyristors that can be turned on or off by only changing the gate current direction. The output characteristics of the new PWM technique are excellent in the circuit simplification, the low-order harmonic elimination and the increasing of power factor, and they are verified by the experimental results.
Thyristor 變換裝置에서 發生되는 無效電力의 處理에 關한 硏究

Thyristor power converter devices, transforming the AC power into the DC power any other AC power or vise versa, have been widely applied used in many fields and applications. The converter devices can also obtain desirous voltages, currents, and frequencies from the phase control of thyristor according to the loads. But these devices using the thyristor have produced unnecessary reactive power. So, this paper suggests a method to reduced the reactive power. The suggested method consists of a cascade connection form of two hybrid bridge circuits. The experimental results of the suggested method show improvement from the lower input power factor to the higher one.
