Emulsions are mixture of immiscible liquids in which one is dispersed in all over the other. They have been applied to many applications including cosmetics, foods, drug delivery system (DDS), fine chemicals, and chemical separations. Especially, emulsion technology is one of the most useful technique to formulate cosmetics such as eye cream, foundation, and foam cleansing. In general, the emulsions can be generated by mechanical agitation of two immiscible fluids. However, the emulsions obtained by conventional method have limited in stability, monodispersity, and complicate process. We describe here preparation techniques of representative cosmetic emulsions such as liposome, liquid crystal emulsion, nanoemulsion, multiple emulsion, and pickering emulsion. Furthermore, various factors which can control the physical properties of each cosmetic emulsions are briefly discussed.

협동적 결과물로서의 K-POP 구조 분석: 훅의 증가와 비획일적 배치를 중심으로

이 글은 최근 한국의 대중음악, 특히 아이돌 음악을 위시한 K-POP 음악에서 두드러지는 현상 중 하나인 ‘공동 작곡’에 대해 다룬다. 이것이 최근 들어 생긴 새로운 현상이라고 보기는 어렵지만, 근래의 공동 작곡 방식은 여러 작곡가가 개별적으로 작업한 멜로디를 조합하거나 함께 모여 하나의 곡을 완성 하는 방식으로 전개되었고, 송라이팅 캠프(songwriting camp) 시스템으로 정착되었다는 점에서 이전과는 다른 고도화된 양상을 띤다. 현재 아이돌 음악은 이러한 공동 작곡 방식과 같이 다수가 만들어내는 음악이라는 점에서 ‘고급문 화’에서의 ‘작가 정신’과 대립되는 지점에 서 있으며, 대중음악 내에서는 ‘진 정성’ 없는 음악으로 평가절하되기도 한다. 본고는 K-POP, 그중에서도 특히 아이돌 음악에서의 공동 작곡 방식의 변천과 그 시스템에 대해 살펴보고, 여기에서 발견되는 음악적 특징인 ‘훅의 증가’와 ‘비획일적 배치’에 중점을 두어 곡의 구조를 분석한다. 이를 통해 아이돌 음악이 음악 구조 내부에 존재하는 기승전결의 질서를 허물고 있음을 보여주고 대중음악 내부에 존재하는 경계, 나아가 예술음악과 대중음악의 ‘구 별짓기’에 대해 다시 한 번 사유해 보고자 한다. This paper deals with ‘co-writing’, one of the trends that stands out recently in K-POP, especially idol music. Although this is not a new phenomenon, the co-writing method has developed recently in a way that combines melodies that are individually worked by several composers, or completed a single song together. This method has been prevailing through a Songwriting Camp system and has become highly sophisticated. Currently, idol music is considered as an opposite of the ‘auteurship’ in ‘high culture’, because it is produced by several people. Thus, it is also devalued as music without ‘authenticity’. This article looks at the transition of co-writing methods and their system in K-POP, and analyzes the structure of the songs by focusing on the musical features, ‘incrementing hooks’ and ‘irregular layout of sections’. Through this, the article aims to show that idol music is breaking down the order of the structural hierarchy in music and provides a chance to rethink the boundaries that exist in popular music and the ‘distinction’ between art music and popular music.
