This study presents the method to evaluate adhesion of PET/PVC interface in vinyl coated steel sheet. FE analysis is performed to investigate the relationship of fracture toughness and adhesion for normal mode and shear mode. The interface of PET/PVC is modeled by cohesive zone model. The adhesion is increased with increasing fracture toughness. Modified Arcan test is performed to apply the normal and shear mode load to interface of PET/PVC. For normal mode loading, fracture toughness is 0.495 J/㎟ and for shear mode loading, fracture toughness is 0.298 J/㎟, respectively.
