The EU End-of-Life Vehicle(ELV) Directive set recycling rate 85% in 2005, and 95% in 2015. however, current recycling rate of domestic ELV is 75%. Therefore, dismantling considered recycling and economical efficiency is required to satisfy EU ELV Directive. In this study, we have shawn eco-technological continuous flow type ELV Dismantling process and recycling rate monitoring system for the first time in domestic to satisfy EU ELV Directive. Finally we introduce the role of Automobile Recycling Center.

Development of environmentally conscious products in the automobile industry is necessary, not only for End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV)law and green consumer, but also for competitiveness by ELV treatment cost reduction. This paper introduces Standards for conducting recyclability assessment analyses and the RAIS software that has been developed enable the vehicle suitability for recycling to be checked at any time, including the development process. Finally, This paper describes recyclability evaluation method using RAIS software During Design phases.
폐 GMT 범퍼백빔 재활용을 통한 엔진언더커버용 친환경 리컴파운드재료 개발

GMT is a glass fiber mat reinforced polypropylene and is mainly in use for automotive bumper backbeam which demands high stiffness and strength. GMT (Glass Mat Thermoplastics) Bumper Backbeam comes from ELVs (End-of-Life Vehicles) or car crash accident. Due to good mechanical properties of GMT, it is very difficult to crush a GMT Backmeam even for the disposal of it. Furthermore, the crushed glass fiber can be floated in the air and the minute dust is very harmful for human body. Consequently, used GMT is mostly disposed by landfill and incineration except for partial application as the process agent for improving flow ability in manufacturing a virgin GMT. In this paper, we have developed a new technology fur crushing and recycling GMT. By making use of this technique, we could recycle used GMT bumper backbeam as raw material which has good properties for injection molding by introduction of branching reaction and surface treatment filler in the weak PP-matrix and commercialize it for automotive engine under cover.

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which is quantitative assessment method considering inflow and outflow along with raw material acquisition, manufacturing and use step, was used to compare environmental load of diesel and gasoline engine. The result indicates that diesel engine has relatively lower environmental load on abiotic resource depletion, global warming, ozone depletion, photochemical oxidant creation, and winter smog than gasoline engine, while gasoline engine has relatively lower environmental load on acidification, eutrophication, and respiratory effect than diesel engine

Recent decade, recycling has been one of the most important issues in industry as required to save the limited amount of natural resource and keep the environment green. However, in spite of many efforts to increase recycling rates in industry, the solution methods are limited in reality. The difficulties are induced from many parts made of diverse materials and their inevitably complicated assembly structures to satisfy many other needs.<br/> Consequently the research exhibit the method of analysis and framing about Function Structure, Joining Structure, Disassembly Structure by the way for improving easiness of decomposition that is the condition about a loss in quantity of treat of waste matter, reuse of used products and much more.

Today recycling has been one of the most important issues in industry as it is required to save the limited amount of natural resources and to keep the environment green. In spite of many efforts to increase recycling rate in industry, however, the practical solutions are very limited. The difficulties are caused by the existence of many parts made of diverse materials and their inevitably complicated assembly structures to satisfy different needs. This paper represents a study on the disassembly sequence generator system for parts recycling. With disassembly costs and revenues, the optimum disassembly sequence can be found with a linear programming.

This paper represents the integrated design system for recycling. This system consists of four subsystems, that is, a data base for the already analyzed commercial products, a data base for the design knowledge and principles. a data base for the now developing product, and a subsystem for the optimum disassembly path generation and the module generation.

The new eco-friendly recompound material, in this study, was developed with recycling waste radiator end tank based on polyamide resin. The cleaning process for the removal of various contaminations in the waste radiator end tank and compounding process for the preparation of the resin for the injection of fan-shroud were optimized individually by Robust Design. As a result of the measurement of mechanical properties, this recompound material could meet material specification for radiator fan-shroud. Moreover, the durability and mold properties of fan-shroud molded product were confirmed by injection molding test and several environment resistance tests.
