        한강수계의 (漢江水系) MBAS 오염에 관한 연구

        Studied on the monthly variation of water quality in the Han river between Kwangjang bridge to Nanji island from May to September during 1973. Comparing with the water quality in each area, the concentration of COD and MBAS in Chyeong gae stream and Anyang stream was more higher than that of the Han river. And it was considered that the streams were very polluted for the waste water influence of from Seoul city. Comparing the Han river to upper site(Kwangjang bridge) of it the upper site was not polluted but the Han river was going to polluted for the wastewater influence from Seoul city. In this experiment, the MBAS analytical value was compared statiscally with the value of DO and COD, it showed that there was the relationship between MBAS and DO, COD.

      • Rat에 있어서 BPMC投輿에 의한 毒性에 관한 硏究

        BPMC (2-Sec-butylphenyl N-methylcarbamate) was treated at the level of 100mg/ kg/day in oral administration for 12th days in rat. It was investigated not only that the hematogram and the serological parameters, but also the content of cytochrome P-450, the activity of TBA, glucose-6-phosphatase, cholinesterase and carboxylesterase in rat. The results were as follows: The hematogram was not found any alteration but the value of AST, ALT, LDH and the content of glucose in serum were significantly increased compare with that of control group. The content of cytochrome P-450 in liver was increased significantly on the contrary cytochrome P-450 in kideny and NADPH -cytochrome c reductase in liver and Kidney were not significantly increased. After the final l2th day, the value of TBA and the activity of glucose -6-phosphatase appeared to the tendency of increasement in the liver. The activity of cholinesterase and carboxylesterase both in serum and liver were decreased. Especially the activity of cholinesterase was more significantly decreased. It was conclusion that the function of this insectivide should be due th the inhibition of cholinesterase activity.

      • N-(2-Ethylhexyl)-8, 9, 10-trinorborn-5-ene-2, 3-dicorhoxymide가 Rat의 Cytochrome P-450 및 생화학적 혈액상에 미치는 독성작용

        Biologically, MGK-264 (N-octyl bicycloheptene dicarboximide) acts as a synergists for insecticides mainly pyrethrins and pyrethroids. It's used extensively in combination with pyrethrin and piperonyl butoxide and also with personal insect repellent and cockroach repellents. But the toxic effect of MGK-264 in mamalians was a relatively little known therefore in this studies it was initiated to examine the toxic effect of MGK -264 in rats. For 5 weeks it administrated daily in each 250 mg and 500 mg of MGK-264 per kg of body weight in rats. 1) The body weight gain and the LYMPH (%) value in blood were observed a slight tendency to reduce in accordance with amount of dose and number treatment time. 2) The content of cytochrome P-450 and activity of NADPH-cytochrome c reductase were decreased in liver and those were observed some tendency in the kidney as liver but not significant. 3) The liver cholinesterase activity in the both 250 mg/kg and 500 mg/kg per kg of body weight with treated groups and the liver aniline hydroxylase in 500 mg/kg treated group were gradually decreased from 4 weeks after treated groups. In consequence it would sugested that the toxic effect of MGK-264 was low but in could offer hazard effect in liver and nervers system of rats if it was administrated move dose of MGK-264 and agumented in number of treated time.

        안양천의 (安洋川) 수질과 용존중금속의 (溶存重金屬) 분포에 관한 조사연구

        It was investigated the several pollutants of water and the distribution of heavy metals from 13 sites in the Anyang stream on May 23th, September 12th, 1982 over twice. Water temperature, pH, Dissolved oxygen, Turbidity and Conductivity were measured on the spot by using Water quality checker (Horiba U-7) and Cl`, SO``₄, were measured in the laboratory by Mohr method and EDTA method. The contents of heavy metals, Fe, Pb, Cu, Mn, Cd, Zn, Ni were analyzed by Flame method of Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The results are summarized as follows. In general, the value of Dissolves oxygen was shown lower than the main stream of Han River, but Turbidity was similar to the lower area of Han River. The contents of SO``₄, CI` and Conductivity were shown to be increased annually by the influence of the inflow of industrial waste water and sewerage water from Anyang city and other factories. The contents of heavy metals lowered in the order of Fe, Zn, Mn, Pb, Cu, Ni, Cd, in the Anyang stream. In the site near Gunpo, it is much polluted by the industrial waste water from heavy industrial factories and electric cable factories. The contents of Fe, Mn, Ni in the site near Gunpo were. found higher than that of other sites. The contents of Cu, Zn, in the site near Guro industrial complex were shown higher than that of other sites. Pb was much detected in the site near Anyang city, and the contents of Cd was a little lower than the mean value of that in Han River and was slightly detected in the upper area of Anyang stream.

        하천수 중 음이온계면활성제의 농도분포와 동태

        The distribution and fate of anionic surfactants in Jungrang stream and in down stream of Han river tributary and in Jinwi stream of Ansung stream tributary were examined. The concentrations of linear alkylbenzene sulfonates(LAS) in river were determined by gas-liquid chromatogaphy. The ratio of concentrations of LAS to those of methylene blue active substances(MBAS) were estimated to 27-31% in Jungrang stream and 27-65% in Jinwi stream and 35-58% in down stream of Han river tributary. However, levels of LAS and its contribution to the MBAS in rivers was found to vary with the nature of the sampling location, i. e. depending whether it was above, below or in the vicinity of a sewage effluent discharge. The concents of LAS and carbon number of alkyl chain were high in Jungrang stream and low in Han river. In its seasonal variations, it is high in November and low in August.

      • Paraquat 毒性이 Mouse의 免疫反應에 미치는 影響

        In this paper we have reported that effect of the glycyrrhizin which contained main component in the licorice root on the immunotoxicity of paraquat. The paraquat and glycyrrhizin was administered intraperitoneally by injection in this experiment. Both of treated and untreated mice with paraquat were sensitized and challenged with s-RBC. The immune responses in the untreated mice were evaluated by antibody production, that is, arthus reation, delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH), rosette forming cell and macrophage activity. Although the immune responses in the group treated with paraquat decreased markedly, but in the group treated paraquat with glycyrrhizin significantly restored or potentially reduced humoral and cellular immune response and phagocyte activity.

      • Buprofezin과 Carbaryl의 복합독성에 관한 연구

        In this study, it was examined the toxic effects of combination of buprofezin and carbaryl on hematological, biological and enzymetic parameters in rats. The administration of buprofezin or carbaryl both induced the tissue content of cytochrome P-450 and furthermore, the combination of the both increased significantly the liver content of cytochrome P-450 in rat. But cytochrome P-450 and NADPH -cytochrome c reductase activities in kidney were slightly increased. Administration of carbaryl and combination of the both also significantly increased hepatic aniline hydroxylase activity. In addition, in the combination group, glucose-6-phosphatase and lipid peroxidase activities were changed in the rat liver. Furthermore, cholinesterase was inhibited in rats treated with carbaryl or the combination of buprofezin and carbaryl. The above results suggested that the combined administration of buprofezin and carbaryl can induce more toxic effects than the single administration of buprofezin or carbaryl.
