Purpose: This study identifies the appropriate signal data from an electronic weapon system for in a prognostics and health management (PHM) technique, and suggests a design idea for efficient data collection. Methods: The RF module of a signal process unit was selected for applying a PHM technique. The current signal and RF signal were collected by the measurement equipment for 120 days, and the remaining useful life (RUL) was predicted using three parameters: current, RF, RF signal, and combination of current and RF signal. Results: Both sets of collected data showed a degradation trend over time. Three RUL predictions that were based on cumulated data over 80 days approached the actual failure point. However, the respective predictions were very different during the early portion of data collection. Additionally, this study suggests a design idea for efficient and economical data collection by embedding the RF detector and current sensor within the RF module. Conclusion: This study demonstrates the possibility of applying PHM to an electronic RF module based on its signal degradation trend. The suggested data collection and RUL prediction-methods from this study can be applied to various electronic weapon systems.
동시조달수리부속(CSP) 선정을 위한 임무필수점수 산출 방안 연구

무기체계의 전투준비태세를 보장하고 효율적이고 원활한 운용•유지를 위해서 적정수준의 동시조달수리부속(CSP) 선정이 필요하다. 무기체계 개발단계에서 CSP 선정을 위해 방위사업청 표준 SW 인 OASIS 4.0을 사용하며, 임무필수점수가 입력제원에 포함된다. 임무필수점수가 임무필수기준값 이상인 품목은 CSP 로 선정되므로, 적정수준의 CSP 선정을 위해서는 정량적이고 신뢰할 수 있는 임무필점수가 필요하다. 본론에서는 HOQ(품질의 집) 모델에 RPN(위험우선순위)과 FMECA(고장유형영향 및 치명도 분석)를 적용하여 임무필수점수 산출 방안을 제안한다. HOQ의 요구사항에 RPN 과 FMECA를 선정하며, 기술특성에 위험도, 치명도, 심각도, 발생도, 검출도를 적용한다. 이를 기초로 요구사항에 대한 상대적 중요도, 요구사항과 기술특성의 관계, 기술특성 간 상관관계, 기술특성 중요도를 산출하며, 최종적으로 HOQ의 산출물인 기술특성 간 상관관계에 따른 영향도를 도출한다. 결론에서는 기술특성 간 상관관계에 따른 영향도 결과를 바탕으로 무기체계에 적용하기 위해서 품목 특성값에 대한 정규화 및 스케일 변환 방법을 제시한다. In order to ensure the defense readiness condition of the weapon system and to ensure efficient operation and maintenance, it is necessary to select an appropriate level of Concurrent Spare Parts (CSP). OASIS 4.0, the standard software, is used to select CSP at the stage of development of the weapon system, and the mission essential points are included in the input data. Since items with mission essential points equal to or greater than the mission essential criteria are selected as CSP, quantitative and reliable mission essential points are required to select an appropriate level of CSP. In this paper, we propose a method of calculating mission essential points by applying RPN(Risk Priority Number) and FMECA(Failure Mode Effects & Criticality Analysis) to the HOQ (House of Quality) model. RPN and FMECA are selected for the requirements of HOQ, and risk, criticality, severity, incidence, and detection are applied to the technical characteristics. Based on this, the relative importance of the requirements, the relationship between the requirements and the technical characteristics, the correlation between the technical characteristics, and the importance of the technical characteristics are calculated. In conclusion, based on the result of the effect of the correlation between the technical characteristics, a method of normalization and scale conversion for item characteristic values is proposed to apply to the weapon system.
