So far the consumption of milk in Korea has been drastically increased by the virtue of economic development. However, after the emergent economic system controlled by the IMF milk consumption has rapidly been decreased, and milk surplus has been accumulated. Because of this dairy farmers in Korea are suffering from a great deal of difficulties. In such a circumstance, it was suspicious how milk consumers would evaluate the milk as a food, why milk consumption was so rapidly decreased, or how the consumption of milk would be in the future. To provide the answers for these questions is the aim of this paper. By the survey of the milk consumers more than 60% of the respondents answered that they preferred to drink milk, but nearly 70% of them complained about the high price of milk, and more than 90% of them expressed that they would consume milk as usual or more. However, the adjustment coefficient of the long-term demand function of milk was computed to be 0.991, which is near to 1. Therefore it is predicted that milk consumption would be affected rather sensitively by the exogenious variables such as price of milk or income of consumers than by the habitual attitude of the consumers. In these context it would be recommended to be more cautious in increasing the selling price of milk. Such serious depression in milk consumption would be more natural in the economic depression such as IMF financial support system. This also means that when the economy is vitalized, the milk consumption would be more rapidly recovered.

In this paper, we present thermal characteristics of a fiber Bragg grating(FBG) filter, including peak reflectivity and FWHM bandwidth by various refractive index change. The reflection spectrum of a FBG filter with refractive index change is affected by its thermal stability.
