      • 기악교육과 음악인지능력, 적성, 흥미도간의 상관성 연구

        적절한 시기를 통한 교육의 효과는 그렇지 않은 교육에 비해 확연한 효과를 가져다준다. 개인의 발달정도에 맞는 교육이 적절한 시기와 방법을 통해 이루어 질 때 교육이 도달하고자 하는 목적을 이룰 수 있는 것이다. 특히 인간의 내면적 감정세계와 정서적 발달 수준에 민감히 반응하는 음악을 다루는 음악교육은 개인의 성장과 발달 시기에 알맞은 방법과 내용으로 이루어 질 때, 그에 따른 음악성과 음악적 능력이 최대한으로 계발, 발전될 수 있다. 본 연구는 중학교 학생들의 기악교육 경험의 유무와 음악에 대한 흥미도를 알고, 음악 인지능력, 음악적성과의 상관관계에 대해 조사하여, 조기기악교육의 중요성을 인식하고 음악성 계발을 위한 기악교육을 활성화하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 따라서 각 가정에서 음악성 신장을 기대하여 행해지는 기악교육이 학생의 실제적 음악성과 음악 인지능력 향상에 미치는 영향에 대하여 조사하였다. 또한 15세 이전의 기악교육과 현재의 음악성·음악 인지능력과 관계가 있는지, 기악교육의 경험과 음악 흥미도는 관계가 있는지, 음악 흥미도와 음악성·음악 인지능력은 관계를 갖고 있는지 분석하였다. 15세 이전의 기악교육이 음악적 흥미, 음악적성, 음악인지능력에 미치는 영향을 살펴볼 때 적절한 시기와 기간을 통한 음악교육의 중요성과 당위성을 알 수 있다. 때문에 좀 더 다양하고 체계적이며 통합적인 음악교육이 적절한 시기와 방법으로 이루어 질 수 있도록 효과적인 음악교육방법과 평가도구의 개발이 필요하고, 나아가 음악에 대한 흥미와 관심을 높일 수 있는 가정과 사회적 분위기 조성이 이루어져 음악의 아름다움을 경험하는 데에 이를 수 있기를 기대한다. The three main purposes of this study are: (1) to examine whether Korean middle school students have received an instrumental music education and how much interest they feel in music itself; (2) to investigate the relationship between their musical cognitive capacity and their aptitude for music; and (3) to acknowledge the importance of the early education in instrumental music and thereby reinvigorate the instrumental music education for developing each student`s musical ability. Home education of instrumental music seems to have often been expected to contribute to the improvements of children`s musicality. In this study, a closer inquiry was made into the influence of this education upon the development of their musicality and musical cognitive capacity. In particular, this study went further to clarify the relationship between the instrumental music education prior to the age of 15 and the musical ability and musical cognitive capacity of students who have received the education. In addition to this, special emphasis was laid on whether the experience of the instrumental music education has anything to do with the extent of the interest in music and whether the latter with the musical ability and musical cognitive capacity. This study conducted a questionnaire survey towards 285 middle school students and their parents in order to have a thorough understanding of each student`s experience in the instrumental music education, the circumstances in which they have had the education, and the extent of the interest that they have in the instrumental music education and music itself. For the sake of a more effective analysis, the selected students and parents were asked to undergo both a musical aptitude test and a musical cognitive capacity test. This study statistically analysed the results taken from these two tests by using SPSS 14.0 and its results are as follows: First, the results empirically show that there is a static correlation between the experience in the instrumental music education and the melody score in the aptitude test. In particular, the longer the period of the education, the higher the score in the musical aptitude test. Second, there is also a static correlation between the experience in the instrumental music education and each student`s personal interest in music. It has become clear that the students who have received a training in instrumental music have a higher degree of interest in music than those who have not. Third, a more noticeable interrelation between the total score in the aptitude test and its melody score is observed for students who said yes to the question whether or not they are interested in music than those who said no. Moreover, the voluntarily motivated education in music resulted in a higher score in the aptitude test and this suggests that there is a clear interrelation between the total score of the test and the initial motivation in education. Fourth, it is also found that there is a correlation between the parents` concern about music education for their children and children`s aptitude for music and their musical cognitive ability. As a result, there is no doubt that the parents` deep concern about music education plays a significant role in enhancing their children`s musica aptitude. Given the fact that the instrumental music education conducted ahead of the age of 15 is deeply related to students` interest in music, their aptitude for music, and their musical cognitive power, it seems not only important but also imperative to provide them with a proper amount of music education at their proper age. For this reason, it is required to develop an effectively designed music training curriculum and appropriate evaluative methods so that a more various, systematic and comprehensive education in music could be made possible. All this considered, however, what is really necessary for achieving this goal is to create the home and social circumstances in which students are encouraged to cultivate their musical aptitude and interest as freely as possible, and therefore enable them to experience the true worth and beauty of the music.

        Programmable Metallization Cell (PMC) is a memory device based on the electrolytical characteristic of chalcogenide materials. In this study, we investigate the nature of thin films formed by photo doping of Ag ions into chalcogenide materials for use in solid electrolyte of programmable metallization cell devices. We were able to do more economical approach by using copper which play an electrolyte ions role. The results imply that a Ag-rich phase separates owing to the reaction of Ag with free atoms from chalcogenide materials.
