산책을 통한 자연친화교육활동이 또래 상호작용과 환경친화적 태도에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 산책을 통한 자연친화교육활동을 구성하여 만 5세 유아에게 적용함으로써 또래 상호작용과 유아의 환경친화적 태도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 강원도에 위치한 A병설유치원 만 5세반 유아 20명과 B병설유치원 만 5세반 유아 20명을 실험집단과 통제집단으로 선정하였다. 실험집단의 유아들에게는 총 14회에 걸쳐 산책을 통한 자연친화교육활동을 실시하였고, 통제집단의 유아들에게는 평소와 같이 누리과정의 생활주제에 따른 이야기 나누기와 개별·소집단 활동을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 산책을 통한 자연친화교육활동은 또래 상호작용의 긍정적 상호작용 중 수용하기와 제안하기에서 효과가 나타났고, 환경친화적 태도 형성에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 유아교육 현장에서 일상적인 활동인 산책을 누리과정과 연계하여 지속적으로 실천할 수 있는 자연친화교육방안을 제시했다는데 연구의 의의가 있다고 본다. This study was conducted to construct nature-friendly educational activities combined with walking activities for children and to identify the effectiveness of such activities on children``s interaction with peers and environmental attitudes. The subjects included 40 five-year-olds attending two kindergartens located in G province. The children in the experimental group were given nature-friendly educational activities through a walk. Those in the control group were given circle time with a daily theme. The study found that children in the experimental group outperformed their control-group counterparts in two areas of positive peer interaction: acceptance and suggestion. The experimental group also received significantly higher scores in two areas of eco-friendly attitudes: nature-friendly and environmental preservation. The results of the study suggest that nature-friendly educational activities through a walk have a positive influence on peer interaction and attitudes toward the environment among young children and be utilized as meaningful teaching activities to practice walking activities in the context of the NURI curriculum.
