This paper presents a simulator for an integrated vehicle chassis control system of ESP(Electronic Stability Program) and ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control) based on OSEK/VDX to operating system. This type of integration is being studied to overcome the limit of performance of each chassis controller. We propose a simple configuration for a vehicle control simulator in which RTOS (Real Time Operating System)-based application programs can be easily tested. The simulator consists of a personal computer, microcontroller boards and RTOS-based vehicle control algorithms. It is shown by experiments that the integration of ESP and ACC algorithms were properly performed by the scheduler under the OSEK/VDX RTOS.

In a modern vehicle chassis system, a number of Electric Control Units(ECU) are being used to improve both stabilities and performances. But increasing number of ECUs may cause several problems such as increasing weight, increasing traffic in in-vehicle networks and contradictory influence among control systems. In this paper, we propose the combination of ESP and ACC as a module in a CAN-Based Network System. By using integrated control of ESP and ACC in a module, we can see the effectiveness of the control algorithm in the experimental set-up.
