Ion exchange resin, which are introduced functional group to styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer, have selectivity to ions and reproducibility of the resin. In this paper, a cross-linked polystyrene-azo-salicylaldoxim resin was synthesized and ion-exchange capacity of the resin for the Cu(ll), Co(ll) and Ni(ll) ions was examined at variable pH.

A Visible spectrophotometry is the most widely used in analytical technique. Fe(II) with o-Phenanthroline produces [FeⅡ(Phen)3]2+ complexes. In this study, we have made efforts to make determination of Fe(II) from stainless steel by using a spectrophotometric method. and we conducted an experiment to test effect that the amount of Ni(II) added at same condition. As a results of the study, It was found that 97.11% Yield in determination of Fe(II) from stainless steel and constant absorbance of [Fe Ⅱ(Phen)3]2+ on Ni(II) addition without any noticeable trouble.

Large amounts of metals of fly ash are produced as a result of burning heavy fuel in power plants. Extraction of metal from fly ash is an important industrial and environmental issue. Extraction and separation of vanadium and nickel from Fly Ash Leach Liquor(FALL) is developed in various method. We tried to suggest optimal condition (pH, precipitant and stirring time) for recovery of vanadium in Fly Ash Leach Liquor(FALL). we used Peroxide method and spectrophotometry for determination of vanadium. precipitants are Dimethyl glyoxime(DMG), EDTA, Ethylene diamine(EN), Triethylamine(TEA). As a result, The best experimental condition were observed using 0.lM EN solution than 0.1M TEA solution and pH condition was ~9 range.

We tried to measure the fixed quantity of V ion among the metals which were eluted by distilled water from the Fly Ash Leach Liquor(FALL) with a spectropho tometric method. In addition, we researched absorbance values which had different contained quantity of Ni and Fe ion in contrast with V ppm to find out the influe nce of the Ni and Fe existed in the FALL on the spectrophotometric fixed quantit y of V. As a result, when Ni has below 320% and Fe has below 50% of amount of V, the fixed quantity of V among the FALL was able to be confirmed by spect rophotometry.

액체 CCl_4와 CS_2에 대한 기체의 용해도와 그 열역학적 성질에 관한 연구

본 논문에서 연구된 계는 무극성 액체 CCl_4와 CS_2에 대한 무극성 기체 H_2, D_2, Ar, Kr, Xe, CO_2, N_2, CH_4, CF_4 등의 기체용해도이다. Core potential 이론에 기초를 둔 용해도 이론을 위의 여러 가지 계에 적용시켜 경험적 파라미터를 얻었고, 이것을 이용하여 구한 기체의 용해도 이론치를 문헌상의 실험치와 비교 검토하였다. 또 계산된 용해도 자료로부터 1atm, 298.15°K에서의 용해엔탈피 ??H ̄_2°, 엔트로피 ??S ̄_2°, 그리고 Gibbs 자유에너지 ??G ̄_2°등을 계산하였다. 무극성액체 CCl_4와 CS_2에 대한 기체의 용해도는 이론식에서 구해진 용해도 계산치와 문헌상의 실험치 사이에 비교적 좋은 일치를 보였고, 용해도 이론식에 근거하여 구한 열역학적 양 ??H ̄_2°, ??S ̄_2° 및 ??G ̄_2°등도 실험치와 비교적 잘 일치하는 결과를 보였다. The solubility of nonpolar gases such as H_2, D_2, Ar, Kr, Xe, N_2, CO_2, CH_4 and CF_4 in nonpolar liquids CCl_4 and CS_2 has been theoretically studied. An equation for the gas solubility has been derived on the basis of core potential theory and applied to various systems in order to obtain some empirical parameters. Using the parameters, the solubilities of various gases in liquids are obtained from the theoretical equation. The partial molar enthalpies, entropies and Gibbs free energies of the gas solubilities have been also calculated by using the theoretical solubility data at 298.15°K and 1 atm partial pressures. Comparison of the theoretical values with the experimental data in literature shows relatively good agreements.

One of the polystyrene-based chelating resins, which is contained with a oxime functional group, has been synthesized. Salicylaldoxim, as chelate functional groups for the Cu(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) ions were introduced by the diazotization and chloromethylation reactions to the styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer. The resin is stable both in acid and in alkaline solution. The resin has higher selectivity for Cu(II) than for other metal ions tested.

Gravimetry is still one of the most accurate methods in chemical analysis. In aqueous solution, Ni(II) with dimethylglyoxime produces precipitates. we have made efforts to make determination of Ni from heavy oil fly ash by using a gravimetric method. In this paper, we have determinated concentration of nickel from a Ni(II) precipitates quantitatively. Ni(II) concentration was estimated 2107 ppm of the heavy oil fly ash leach liquor and obtained 97.75% yield from reagent of Ni(II) experientially.
