Steel culumns, main members of cable-railway structure, are linked each other by cable, its structural behavior is considered as cantilever structure. Under the present cable-railway code, main design load is wind load which is only defined vertical load. But the frequency of earthquake occurrence has increased in recent days and the seismic design code is intensified, necessities of seismic design are discussed. In this study, necessities of seismic design code of cable-railway are proposed by examining the seismic response of cable-railway columns designed by KBC(Korea Building Code), by comparing structural behavior of seismic and wind.

The construction of concrete slab track system is increased recently but the noise level on slab track is 3dB(A) higher than the one on ballast track since most of noise is reflected on slab track. Currently, concrete slab track systems has been designed for Gyungbu high speedline stage 2 and Honam high speed line. For those tracks, noise absorbing blocks are considered. In this paper, noise absorbing blocks were installed at Hwang Hak tunnel for evaluation of noise absorbing blocks and the indoor noise of KTX was measured. The results have done comparative analysis.

Urban transit construction has increased since 1970, and the utilization of urban transit system also has sharply increased. However, the prediction for station scale was underestimated in design, eventually, passenger crowdedness of station, platforms and transfer pathways has got worse. Especially, safety for passenger is concerned for rush hour because of passenger crowdedness peak. Therefore, several stations, which service level is D, were investigated for passenger crowdedness. In this study, measures which are to mitigate passenger crowdedness for stations are indicated.

Urban transit consists of signaling system, railway systems, power facilities systems, information and communication system and the other complicated facilities. There are many new technologies to analysis the requirement of for information and communication system. The more system is complicate, the more system design error occur frequently in development of information and communication system. Now, we need to reduce the error by analysis the behavior of the requirements of it. Thus in this paper, we suggest the way to analysis the behavior of the requirements by using the computer aided design tools.
