This study was performed to investigate the rate of occurrence of neonatal birthmarks and their clinical features. From October 1982 to September l983, 1,035 newborn babies were examined in the Keimyung University Dongsan Medical center and the results were summarized as follows. The main nevi in the newborn were salmon patch (28 9%), portwine stain (0.3%), strawberry mark (0.4%), pigmented lesions (1.0%) and mongolian spot (81. 2%). The salmon patch was present most frequently on the nape but no particular predilection sites were noted in portwine stain, strawberry mark and pigmented lesions. The mongolian spot developed on the sacral portion, buttocks and lower back, in decreasing order.

Monilethrix is a rare familiar disorder of unknown cause, occurring in either sex, and ueually confined to the scalp. In most cases it is manifested in early childhood. lt is characterized by localized or widespread dystrophy of hair and follicles, the shafts showing regular variations in diameter producing alternate nodes and internodes which confer a striking beaded or moniliform appearance on the hair. We experienced a case of monilethrix, which was associated with keratosis pilaris and occurred in three generations. The patient's one sibling, mother, 4 uncles and 2 aunts of mother side and grandmother with her sister were all affected with a similar diaorder of hair.

A case of 14 year-old female with linear porokeratosis is reported with review of articles. She has been suffering from dark brownish, typical porokeratotic patches on the face, neck, right axilla, left hand and left lower extremity. Each lesions are distributed in linear arrangement. Family and past history are not contributory. On histologic examination of skin specimen shows typical cornoid lamella which is hallmark of this disease. Treament was carried with 5go salicylic acid ointment and 0. 025% halcinonide ointment alternatively without successful response.

In this study, by using the polynomials by Gram-Schmidt process of several orthogonal polynomials as characteristic function, the defects of general orthogonal functions, for example, beam functions induced the complex analysis and orthogonal polynomials applied to limited boundary conditions, and so on, were overcome. Especially, as consequence of compare with the results by general beam functions and orthogonal polynomials, the results of this paper accord very well with those results. Thus, this paper the application possibility of very useful, new characteristic function, and the basic data in dynamic problems were repared for all possible boundary coditions of plates.

A case of 33-year-old female with subungual glomus tumor is reported. She has been suffered from single pea sized, dark red to purplish colored subungual nodule of the left thumb and sharp, episodic pain radiating into the left arm for 5 years. She had been also complained intermittent tingling and pain sensation on left thumb especially after exposure to cold water for 10 years. Family and past history are not contributory and other laboratory findings are within normal limits. Diagnosis is confirmed by the histopathological features. We performed a surgical excision of the tumor completely and no recurrence was noted. Authors review relevant literatures and make discussions also.

We observed a case of tuberculosis cutis orificialis, which occurred in 50 year-old man. He had been suffered from single markedly inflamed, erythematous painful ulcer, covered by dirty brown pseudomembranous material, around anus for 3 months. The laboratory findings (CBC, routine urinalysis, stool ova and parasite with occult blood) are within normal limits except elevated ESR (52mm/hr.). Staphyloeoccus aureus and proteus are observed on wound culture, and many AFB are seen on scrapings of wound but not on sputum for 3 times. Unfortunately culture was not done. Tuberculin skin test revealed strong reaction (36mm/hr.). Chest PA and small bowel series showed far advanced pulmonary tuberculosis and intestinal tuberculosis on ileocecal area. But the findings of upper gastro-intestinal series and barium enema are within normal limits. Histopathologic findings of skin lesion showed tuberculous and tuberculoid granuloma in the deep dermis and subcutaneous tissue. 폐암환자에서 늑막조직천자검사에 의하여 전이된 피부사피세포암의 1 예

A case of metastatic tumor of the skin is described with literature review. Cutaneous metastases of malignant tumor is rarely seen but lung cancer in male and breast cancer in female are not infrequently reported. This patient, 37 year old male, had lung cancer, had several chest tappings for pleural effusion and a pleural biopsy. 8 months later, skin manifestation of diffuse erythematous sclerotic patches and confluent nodules was noted on pleural biopsy site, right lateral chest wall. Histopathological finding was compatible with metastatic carcinoma. This metastatic skin tumor is considered to be arisen from the lung probably due to pleural biopsy.
