Stochastic Local Search in Random Constraint Satisfaction Problems

We present a method for studying the threshold behavior in random constraint satisfaction problems (CSPs) by using a stochastic local search (SLS), namely, a heuristic search. In particular, we employ the finite-size scaling concept of nonequilibrium absorbing phase transitions and address both the nature and the threshold of the solvable-unsolvable transition in terms of random K-satisfiability (K-SAT) problems, where K is the number of Boolean variables per logic clause. Based on the role of the noise parameter in the SLS, we find that the number of unsatisfied clauses (E) and the solving time (tsol) can reveal some valuable information about either the hidden structure of the solution space or the algorithmic complexity. As compared to two-value averaging over different samples, we show that survival-sample-averaged quantities in the steady-state limit are good and clear indicators of both the nature and the threshold of the phase transition in the thermodynamic limit.

서남해지역 <제석굿> 삽입가요의 계열과 장르와의 관계

In Southwest Sea Region of Korea, by taking a look Seong-ssi of Julpo, Jeon-gum-soon of Jeong-eub, Sin-gui-nyo of Yeonggwang, Yu-jeom-ja of Shinan, Lee-Wan-Soon of Jindo which shows well the artistic expansion of Jaeseok-gut, it was able to examine the method of the performance of <Jaeseok-gut> inserted song. The extracted 26 inserted songs can be divided into four categories: Jaeseok Shaman song, Seongju shaman song, Dangsan shaman song, Gun-ung shaman song, and Chi-guk shaman song. Among them, the significant types are Jaeseok shaman songs and Seongju shaman songs, they are connected to the general method of the performance of Chonnam area where are combined with <Seongju gut> in <Je Seokgut>. The common musics, for example, Jaeseok-pul-i, Jung-ta-lyeong, Yeom-bul, belong to the basic form of Jaeseok shaman songs. It is possible to find the relation between <Jaeseok-gut> and other genres such as Pansori, folk songs, sounds of shamanistic ritual, Yeom-bul. In relation to Pansori, when accepting Deo-neum of greatest singer that time, it seems like Jaeseok-gut is related to the process that these Deo-neums are being popularly accepted in recent times. In the folk song, Jeon-buk usually accepts Aekmaki-ta-lyeong and Cheon-nam accepts Sanaji-ta-lyeong melody. In a sounds of shamanistic ritual, there are Chunji-jopan which is same as Jiduseo of shaman song. Sounds of shamanistic ritual is so simillar with Pansori that it accepts editorial positively, but it doesn't accept another musical factor except for folk song melody. Putting the title or some of the contents of the Buddhist scripture into the editorial was only used to secure identity as a Jaeseok-God, but it was unable to copy as same. In some songs, It is possible to find the process how inserted song is settled. The various uses and developments of each shaman's inserted song are due to the influences of surrounding environment such as passed down Learning background as a shaman group unit, local environment, and activity background of the deceased. If the study is attempted in the eastern Jeolla-province in the future, more variable analysis will be possible. 서남해지역에서 <제석굿>의 예술적 확장을 잘 보여주는 줄포의 성씨, 정읍의 전금순, 영광의 신귀녀, 신안의 유점자, 진도의 이완순을 대상으로 <제석굿> 삽입가요의 연행양상을 살펴보았다. 추출한 26개의 삽입가요는 제석무가․성주무가․당산무가․군웅무가․치국무가계열로 나눌 수 있다. 이중에서 비중 있는 계열은 제석무가와 성주무가로 <제석굿> 안에 <성주굿>이 복합되어 있는 전남지역 일반적인 양상과 통한다. 공통적으로 나타나는 제석풀이, 중타령, 염불은 제석무가계열의 기본형에 속한다. <제석굿>과 판소리, 민요, 광대고사소리, 염불 등 타 장르와의 관계를 살펴보았다. 판소리와의 관계에서는 당대 명창의 더늠을 수용하는데 이들의 더늠이 근대에 대중적으로 수용되는 과정과 연관 있는 것으로 여겨진다. 민요에서 전북은 액막이타령, 전남은 산아지타령 선율을 주로 수용한다. 광대고사소리에는 무가의 지두서와 같은 천지조판이 있다. 고사소리는 판소리적 성향이 강하여 사설은 적극 수용하나 민요 선율 이외 음악적 수용은 약하다. 불경의 제목이나 일부 내용을 사설에 넣는 것은 무녀가 제석신으로서의 정체성을 확보하기 위한 용도로 쓰일 뿐 불경을 그대로 옮겨오지는 못하였다. 일부 악곡에서 삽입가요가 정착되어 가는 과정을 볼 수 있다. 무녀별 삽입가요의 다양한 활용과 발전은 무계 단위로 전승되는 학습 배경, 지역적 환경, 고인들의 활동 배경 등 주변 환경의 영향 때문이다. 추후 전라도 동부지역의 연구가 시도된다면 입체적 분석이 가능할 것이다.

Dynamic Scaling Analysis of Critical Behaviors in Nonequilibrium Processes

We present a method for analyzing the critical behaviors systematically in nonequilibrium processes by using dynamic scaling, where we extend the well-known finite-size scaling (FSS) theory for the time evolution of major physical quantities that can indicate either a phase transition or some scaling property. Particularly, we discuss two cases: one is the one-dimensional (1D) thin film growth by vapor deposition polymerization (VDP), and the other is the synchronization of globally-coupled oscillators. Using a dynamic scaling analysis, we show that the universality issue of critical behaviors in nonequilibrium processes can be investigated even though the system is neither in the steady-state limit nor in the thermodynamic limit. Finally, in the context of this extended FSS analysis, we compare the VDP growth with the modified 1D Kardar Parisi-Zhang-type growth and classify the characteristics of synchronization transitions with various setups.

전라도 서부지역 <제석굿>의 무녀별 연행양상과 구성의 특징

<Jaeseok-gut> is one of important gut that Shamans of Jeolla-province, spend much time. In this Article, by taking a look Seong-ssi of Buan , Jeon-gum-soon of Jeong-eub, Sin-gui-nyo of Yeonggwang, Yu-jeom-ja of Shinan, Lee-Wan-Soon, who performed in west side of Jeolla-province, I will compare and analyze a method of the performance, characteristic of <Jaeseok-gut> and also common things and different things of each Shaman. After that i want to clarify structure and characteristic of <Jaseok-gut>, especially west side of Jeolla-province. As we take a look through Five Shamans case, In the west side of Jeolla-province, <Jaeseok-gut> is composed of various rhythms and songs which are added into ritualistic basic structure of Cheongsin-Ohsin(Chuk-One) -Songsin. The first half expresses origin of Jaeseok by shaman song and expresses the descent of God by dancing. Middle part inserts blessing songs which are praying for good fortune and happiness from God. The latter half dances with meaning of sending God. But Jeon-gum-soon has many songs similar with Pansori epic chant in the early part , The latter part has only words of blessing and dances that send God. but has no blessing songs. <Jaeseok-gut> of Five Shamans, looks like similar but there are different characteristics for each shaman or region. In west side of Jeolla-province, especially upper side, <Jaeseok-gut> has common musics Jaeseok-pul-i, Jung-ta-lyeong, Yeom-bul, which belong to type of Jaeseok Shaman song. Also especially in under side of west side of Jeolla-province, <Jaeseok-gut> has same common musics Jaeseok-pul-i, Jung-ta-lyeong, Yeombul, and additionally Jeseok-maji, Siju-cheonghagi which also belong to type of Jaeseok * 이 논문은 2017년 10월 23일에 투고되어2017년 12월 7일에 심사 완료되고2017년 12월 18일에 편집위원회의 회의에서 게재가 확정되었음. shaman songs, and Myeong-dang-pul-i, Jigyeong-dagugi, Ibchun-butigi, Nojeog-cheonghag i, Eob-cheonghagi, Gunung-mosigi which belong to type of Seongju shaman songs. In short, under side was mixed with <Jaeseokgut> and <Seongjugut>. In contrast, upper side existed independently. In the west side of Jeolla-province, <Jaeseok-gut> is flexible in construction and using rhythm of gut. also they change an order of gut and also delete or add. They have musicality which they can sing same story telling as a different rhythm. And they also accept different genre or music of another region. And they used characteristic of Pansori epic chant to <Jaeseokgut>. Especially, in singing method, rhythm, music of Jeon-gum-sun, we can find these characteristics very clearly. Jaeseok-pul-i which is core music of <Jaeseokgut> uses Sal-pul-i rhythm and Dongsal-pul-i rhythm without local division. Jin-yangjo is widely used from Jindo to Jeong-eub and Julpo uses GIn-yeombul. so we can know that 3 small beat 6 beat structure rhythm is used in the all of western part of Jeolla-province. <제석굿>은 복과 재물을 비는 축원의 굿이다. 산 사람의 복을 빌어주는 목적을 갖고 있기 때문에 무가(巫歌)는 연희적이고 오락적인 성격을 띄며 활기차다. 그래서 전라도의 무녀들이 굿의 많은 시간을 <제석굿>에 할애하는 비중 있는 굿거리이다. 그러나, 산업화와 현대화, 타종교의 확산으로 굿 의례와 제차를 아는 굿 연행자도 사라지고 굿 향유자도 즐어들면서 <제석굿>은 변화의 과정을 거치게 된다. 전라도 무당들은 변화하는 사람들의 요구를 수용하고 환경에 적응하며 <제석굿>을 지켜오고 있다. 이 글에서는 전라도 서부지역인 부안의 성씨, 정읍의 전금순, 영광의 신귀녀, 신안의 유점자, 진도의 이완순을 대상으로 <제석굿>의 연행양식과 특징을 비교분석하여 무녀별․지역별 공통점과 차이점을 살펴 전라도 서부지역 <제석굿>의 구성과 특징을 밝히고자 한다. 다섯 무녀를 통해 살펴본 전라도 서부지역 <제석굿>은 청신-오신(축원)-송신의 제의적 기본구조에 다양한 장단과 가요를 삽입하여 구성한다. 전반부에서 제석의 본을 풀어 춤으로써 강림을 하고, 중반부에서 강림한 신에게 복을 빌어 다양한 복덕을 받는 주술적․축원적 가요들을 삽입시켜 연행한다. 그리고 후반부는 춤으로써 신을 보내는 의식이 있다. 다만, 전금순의 경우 전반부를 판소리적 삽입가요로 확장시킨 반면 후반부는 축원덕담과 송신의 춤만 있어 축원․주술적 삽입가요가 없다. 무녀들은 무속환경이나 굿 향유자들의 요구에 순응하며 예술적 역량을 발휘하여 각자의 굿을 정립하였다. 그렇기때문에 다섯 무녀의 <제석굿>은 유사한 듯 하나 무녀마다 또는 지역마다 다른 특징이 있다. 전라도 서부지역 윗녘의 <제석굿>에서 공통적으로 나타나는 악곡은 제석무가계열인 제석풀이, 중타령, 염불이다. 아랫녘의 <제석굿>에서 공통적으로 나타나는 악곡은 제석무가계열인 제석맞이, 제석풀이, 중타령, 염불, 시주청하기와 성주무가계열인 명당풀이, 지경다구기, 입춘붙이기를 비롯한 노적청하기, 업청하기, 군웅모시기이다. 따라서, 전라도 서부지역 아랫녘은 <제석굿>과 <성주굿>이 혼재되어 있는 반면 윗녘은 독립적으로 존재하고 있었다. 윗녘과 아랫녘의 <제석굿>에서 공통적으로 나타나는 악곡은 제석풀이, 중타령, 염불이다. 전라도 서부지역 <제석굿>은 굿의 구성과 장단의 사용에서 유동성을 보인다. 같은 악곡을 다른 장단으로 부르기도 하고 굿의 구성을 바꾸거나 첨삭하기도 한다. 이는 무녀의 개인적 특징임과 동시에 지역적 특징이다. 전라도 서부지역 무녀들은 같은 무가사설을 다른 장단으로 부를 수 있는 음악성을 갖고 있다. 또, 다른 장르나 다른 권역의 음악을 적절히 수용한다. 무녀들은 판소리의 구성요소인 소리, 아니리, 발림, 추임새를 적절히 <제석굿>에 활용하고 있다. 특히, 전금순의 사례는 다른 무녀들이 판소리적 형식만을 수용한 반면에, 창법, 장단, 악곡 등 판소리적 성향이 매우 강하게 나타난다. <제석굿>의 핵심적인 악곡인 제석풀이에 살풀이장단과 동살풀이장단이 지역적 구분 없이 사용되었다. 진양조장단은 진도에서 정읍까지 두루 사용되고 있으며, 줄포는 진양조장단과는 다르지만 긴염불장단을 사용하고 있어 3소박 6박 구조의 장단이 전라도 서부지역 전역에서 사용됨을 알 수 있었다.

Effect of Blockage on Driven Flow with Periodic Boundary Conditions

We provide a detailed discussion of the role of boundary conditions in the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) with a localized blockage, located at the middle of the system. This quenched disorder is a bond defect, either a slow bond (SB) or a fast bond (FB), where the transport probability is different from those of other bonds in the system. Using numerical simulations, we found that for the SB case, a queuing transition occured in the periodic TASEP as it does in the open one. A density depletion was found for the FB case as well, irrespective of boundary conditions. Queuing and depletion are related to a power-law decay of the density profile from the defect bond. Finally, we argue ensemble equivalence for the effect of the quenched disorder in the TASEP,which implies that the same class of critical behaviors of the queuing transition are observed and that the critical bond strength is exactly the same for both boundary conditions.

Role of Cutoff Scaling in Scale-Free Networks

We numerically study how the cutoff scaling of the upper degree affects the finite-size scaling (FSS) for physical models of scale-free networks (SFNs) in terms of the Ising model for annealed and quenched SFNs. Based on the hyperscaling argument and the results of S. H. Lee et al. [Phys. Rev. E 80, 051127 (2009)], we test the suggested FSS theory according to the value of the cutoff exponent, and find the cutoff of upper degree scales as a power law in the system size. In particular, we focus on finding the relevant length scale in finite SFNs near and at criticality. Moreover, we investigate the self-averaging property of the system in the presence of a quenched linking disorder as a way for exploring the fluctuations in the sampling disorder for the finite-degree sequence set.

Critical Phenomena of the Generalized Epidemic Process

We investigate mixed-order critical phenomena of the generalized epidemic process (GEP) on random scale-free networks characterized by the power-law distribution pk k .The GEP is a minimal model of spreading behaviors. Near tricritical points (TCPs) derived by using the generating method, we numerically confirm the associated scaling exponents as functions of . In particular, we propose an extended finite-size scaling theory of the GEP and crossover scaling behaviors, which are also confirmed by using extensive Monte Carlo simulations. Our results show that near TCPs, the GEP is governed by two distinct length scales, whose nontrivial dependence on leads to rich transition behaviors.

Driven Contact Process with Temporal Feedback

We investigate a directed percolation (DP)-based cyclically coupled model with branching bias, namely, the driven contact process with temporal feedback (DCP-TF). In the DCP-TF, we control not only the temporal feedback by using its memory strength and the power-law tail exponent for the incubation period of the intermediate state but also the preferred direction of branching. The CP-TF in a one-dimensional lattice exhibits continuously varying scaling behaviors, which is attributed to the long-term memory caused by the power-law type feedback. This implies that the CP-TF does not belong to the DP universality class. However, its deviation from the DP exponent is not very big. To clarify this issue, we test the relevance of the external driving to the critical behaviors of CP-TF. If it belongs to the DP universality class, the branching bias is irrelevant to its critical exponents. We find that the branching bias does affect both the region of continuously varying scaling and the value of critical decay exponent. Based on numerical results and intuitive arguments in the DCP-TF, we discuss how the universality class of the CP-TF is related to the universality class of the pair CP with diffusion.

진도 길쌈노래의 공연화와 그 지향

현전하는 민요는 전승 맥락과 달리 공연화된 사례가 많으므로 민요의 공연화는 민요 전승의 활로가 된다. 진도의 길쌈노래 또한 길쌈노동의 현장에서 불리지 않고 새로운 환경에서 새로운 모습으로 공연되고 있다. 본고는 진도군 지산면 소포리의 베틀노래, 인지리의 물레노래, 그리고 의신면 돈지리의 하중밭들노래 등의 사례를 대상으로 재구성 과정을 거쳐 공연화된 진도 길쌈노래의 의미와 지향성을 살펴보았다. 진도 길쌈노래의 공연화는 남도문화제 참가를 계기로 작품을 재구성한 것이다. 외부 자원이나 자본의 개입이 아닌 마을의 실정을 잘 알고 있는 마을 내부 기획자에 의해 활성화된 것이라는 데에 의미가 크다. 길쌈노래의 대회 참가는 일회적 행사로 끝나지 않고 전승 주체에 의해 향유되었다. 공연화의 지향성은 민요를 전승하는 주체가 스스로 기획하고 공연하여 지속성과 변화의 가능성을 확보하는 것이다. 기획과 연출 능력이 있는 마을 구성원에 의해 공연화된 민요일지라도 여성들의 욕구와 부합되었을 때 비로소 향유되고 전승된다. 진도 길쌈노래의 전승 주체인 여성들은 공연화를 통해 확보된 활동 공간에서 예술적 자부심을 느끼고 정체성을 표현한다. 그러므로 민요의 공연화는 민요의 전승원리로 작용한다. There are many cases of a remaining folk song being made into a performance show different from its transmission context, which suggests that turning a folk song into a performance show can be a breakthrough in the transmission of folk songs. Today the Gilsam songs of Jindo are not sung in the field of Gilsam labor but put on the stage in a new form in a new environment. This study set out to investigate the significance and orientation of Jindo Gilsam songs that were turned into a performance show through a recreation process with the loom song of Sopo-ri, Jisan-myeon, Jindo-gun, the spinning wheel song of Inji-ri, and the Hajungbat field song of Donji-ri, Uisin-myeon. Turning a Gilsam song of jindo into a performance show involved reconstructing the song to participate in the Namdo Cultural Festival. It holds huge significance as planners that were insiders with good knowledge about the state of a village revitalized the songs without resorting on external resources or financing. Participating in the competition was not a one-off event which enabled the subjects of transmission to enjoy themselves. The orientation of turning a folk song into a performance show is for the subjects of transmission to plan, perform, and ensure continuity for themselves. Folk songs will be enjoyed and transmitted only when their performance shows based on the members of the village armed with planning and directing competence meet the needs of women. As the subjects of Gilsam songs of Jindo transmission, women feel artistic pride and express their identity in a space of activities secured in the process of turning a folk song into a performance show, which indicates that turning a folk song into a performance show serves as a principle of folk song transmission.

진도 치기형 민속놀이의 전승 현장과활성화 방안

In this paper, we focused on the hit-type folk game handed down in the Jindo region, examined its transmission pattern through literature research and field research, and proposed its characteristics as an intangible cultural heritage and ways to revitalize it. Hit-type folk game includes children’s play, adult play, men’s play, and women’s play. Overall, it is a cultural correlation that allows us to see through our traditional play culture. There is a need to re-recognize the importance of everyday play that even people without special skills or entertainment can participate in and that can be enjoyed on a regular basis, not just during special times Hit-type folk games have a variety of play methods and are also games that contain oral expressions and traditional knowledge. Tools are often used when playing chigi-type folk games. It includes not only amusement equipment but also household and crafting tools. In addition, hit-type folk game has the characteristics of an intangible heritage in that it is a game that reflects the local lifestyle and philosophy of life. Hit-type folk gamei is a universal game that is passed down in other regions as well. Therefore, the form and content of play are not much different from other regions. However, Jindo local residents have strong vitality and resilience in folk culture and arts. Therefore, it is an appropriate area to seek and realize ways to revitalize traditional culture, which is becoming a residual culture. Just as most traditional games are neglected by modern people and are in danger of being cut off from their transmission, the same goes for hit-type folk games. As a way to avoid this, we propose grouping of individual plays. In addition, a creative perspective is needed to transform residual culture into regenerative culture by linking it with digital-based online business. In addition, to revitalize the region, it was proposed to create a hit-type folk game theme park and hold a hit-type folk game competition. To achieve this, it is necessary to form the Jindo region residents-centered tentative name “Jindo hit-type Folk Game Preservation Society.” Only when the private sector, institutions, business community, and academia cooperate will we be able to secure sustainability rather than just a one-off reproduction 본고에서는 진도 지역에서 전승되고 있는 치기형[打型] 민속놀이에 주목하여 문헌조사와 현장조사를 통해 전승 양상을 살피고, 무형유산으로서의 특징과 활성화 방안을 제안하였다. 치기형 놀이는 아동놀이, 성인놀이, 남성놀이, 여성놀이를 망라하고 있어 전체적으로 우리의 전통적인 놀이문화를 관통할 수 있는 문화적 상관물이다. 특별한 기예능을 갖추지 않은 사람도 참여할 수 있고, 특별한 시기가 아닌 평소에도 즐길 수 있는 일상적인 놀이에 대해서도 중요성을 재인식할 필요가 있다. 치기형 민속놀이는 치기놀이 특유의 다채로운 전개방식이 있고, 구전표현과 전통지식이 담겨있는 놀이이다. 치기형 민속놀이를 할 때에는 도구를 사용하는 경우가 많은데, 놀이도구뿐만 아니라 생활도구와 생산도구까지 포함한다. 놀이도구의 재료를 선택하고, 제작하고 활용하는 과정마다 사람들이 터득하고 있는 전통지식이 동원된다. 또한 치기형 민속놀이는 지역의 생활상과 생활철학이 반영된 놀이라는 점에서 무형유산으로서 특징을 갖고 있다. 치기놀이는 다른 지역에서도 전승되는 보편적인 놀이이다. 따라서 놀이의 형편과 내용은 다른 지역과 크게 다르지 않다. 다만 진도 지역민들은 민속문화예술에 대한 실제적인 활력과 탄력이 강하므로, 잔존문화가 되어가고 있는 전통문화를 활성화할 수 있는 방법을 모색하고 실현하기에 적합한 지역이다. 대부분의 전통놀이가 현대인들에게 외면받고, 전승 단절의 위기에 처해있듯이 치기형 민속놀이도 마찬가지이다. 이를 탈피할 수 있는 방법으로써 개별놀이의 집합화(grouping)를 제안하였다. 또한 디지털 기반 사업과 연동하여 잔존문화를 재생문화로 전환하려는 창의적 시각이 필요하다고 보았다. 또한 지역활성화를 위해 치기형 민속놀이를 테마로 한 액티비티(activity) 창안과 치기형 민속놀이 대회 개최를 제안하였다. 이를 위해서는 지역 주민 중심의 “치기형민속놀이보존회”의 결성이 필요하다. 민간, 기관, 재계, 학계가 협력해야 일회성 재현에 끝나지 않고 지속가능성을 확보할 수 있을 것이다.
