Vietnam's stock market came into operation on July 28, 2000 with two types of stocks. When Vietnam's stock market was first established, it was still simple and small, the number of investors was small and only two types of stocks were traded. However, up to the date of 2022, there were up to 2000 securities traded on the market. Individual investors participate in the stock market more and more professionally. There are more and more studies on investment activities on the Vietnamese stock market and most studies show that the existence of psychological factors affects the decision of investors' investment behavior. private equity in the stock market. Some other studies suggest that investors' decisions are not always based on investor psychology but also influenced by psychological factors. In fact, psychological factors can have a significant impact on investor attitudes and behavior; namely, when in a good mood, they become more optimistic in their judgments and investment decisions, but when not in a good mood, they become more pessimistic about investment activities. The research results also show that the influence of psychological factors on investment behavior becomes more important in investment forecasting behavior. Many studies have shown that conventional financial theory does not fully explain the relationship between investment decisions and investment performance, while behavioral finance theory is a New approach to explaining individual investor behavior. Behavioral finance theory asserts that the decision and effectiveness of investment activities are greatly influenced by psychological factors of investors, which can be influenced partly or completely (Richard H. Thaler), 2003). Therefore, research on the influence of psychological factors on investor behavior in the stock market is always one of the topics that many researchers pay attention to. However, in Vietnam, these studies are still quite new compared to other countries in the region as well as in the world. Therefore, in this study, the author will focus on the topic: "The influence of behavioral factors on investment decisions and efficiency: Researching individual investors on the Vietnamese stock market" with the desired results of the study will contribute a significant part in finding out the impact of behavioral factors on the efficiency of investment activities. The research topic "The influence of behavioral factors on investment decisions and efficiency: A study of individual investors on the Viet Nam stock exchange market" has great significance in finding Finding out the impact of behavioral factors on the efficiency ofinvestment activities. By understanding human behavior and the psychological mechanisms involved in making financial decisions, financial benchmarks can be enhanced to interpret and disprove investors to improve performance. Investment results as well as helping the stock market accurately reflect the performance of enterprises and promote their full role in the economy.
