기획논문 : 연민선생의 한시 ; 연민선생(淵民先生)의 한시(漢詩)
퀑킨훙 ( Kin Hung Kwong ) 연민학회 2013 연민학지 Vol.19 No.-
이 글은 연민선생(淵民先生)의 문집 4종에 실린 한시 작품의 가치와 특색을 살펴 본 것이다. 연민의 한시는 같은 시대 중국의 유명 시인의 작품과 같은 선상에서 논해야 한다는 것이 필자의 전반적인 소감이다. 연민이 출중한 작시 능력을 보인것은 우선 그가 천부적인 재능을 타고 났기 때문이지만, 학문 수양의 공력(功力) 또한 무시할 수 없다. 연민의 시는 고전적(古典籍)에 대한 깊은 연구를 바탕으로 한 작품이 많으며, 이는 그의 전 생애에 걸친 교육 및 학문 수양의 과정에서 획득된 것들이다. 필자는 연민의 작품들 중 기석(奇石)에 대한 시와 국화에 대한 시 각 한 수를 예술적 측면에서 논하였다. 첫 번째 시는 시구를 다듬어 교묘하고 독특한 표현을 통해 중심소재의 가치를 부각시키고 있다. 또 과거에서 현재로, 원경에서 근경으로, 많은 것에서 적은 것으로 그 범위를 좁혀가며 시상을 전개하는 수법을 사용한것도 인상적이다. 국화에 대한 시는 처음과 마지막이 혼연히 어울리며, 2연의 은은한 정취와 3연의 기이한 착상이 두드러진다. 또한 유수대(流水對)를 사용하여 문장의 기세에 활력이 넘친다. 연민의 작시 태도는 크게 두 가지로 요약할 수 있다. 하나는 옛것에 구애받지 않고 오늘날의 말을 쓰되 속된 것으로 흐르지 않는다는 것이다. 둘째는 근체시의 성률(聲律)과 운율(韻律)을 중시한 것이다. 연민의 한시 작품을 통해 이러한 원칙이 확고히 지켜지고 있음을 실제로 확인할 수 있다. This article will examine the value and characteristic of the Chinese poetries in 4 of Yeonmin`s collection of works. It is a general opinion of the writer of this article that Yeonmin`s Chinese poetries should be taken equally with the works of Chinese popular poets of the same time. Yeonmin was able to demonstrate an outstanding ability in composing a poem on account of his innate talent but his effort in developing the study should not be ignored. Yeonmin`s poetries are largely based on a close study in classical documents which was gained during the process of life-long education and study. The writer of this article is discussing the artistic feature of each poetry about lithic curiosities and chrysanthemum. The lines of the first poetry is organized to elaborately highlight the main subject. It also seems impressive to have used such technique in expressing the inspiration that a range gradually narrowing down from past to present, distant to close view, and from many to few. The poem about chrysanthemum has beginning and ending that clearly harmonize and the delicate mood of the line two and odd ideas in line three are quite distinctive. In addition, by using Yu-su-dae, the lines are invigorated. Yeonmin`s attitude in composing poetry can be largely summarized into two. One is being free from the old to use present language only keeping a distance from vulgarness. Second is perceiving rhythm and prosody importantly in composing Geunchae poetry. By looking at Yeonmin`s Chinese poetry, it can be actually confirmed that these principles were firmly held.
