농촌에서의 사회복지서비스 활성화를 위한 농촌교회의 역할 : 의성군 사곡면 지역을 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to find out a role of rural church to activate social welfare service in rural area where is relatively isolated than urban church about social welfare service due to local limit. Previous studies were read and survey was done with 73 male and 77 female, total 150 people at the age of more than 20 living in Gyeongbuk Uiseong-Gun SaGok-Myeon. General characteristics, health condition, economic life, cultural life, mental condition, experience and need about welfare service, and opinion about social welfare service provided by rural church were investigated. As a result of this survey, this village area is aging village with lack of medical service center. An earned income (including farming income) is 70.7% and most population are engaged in agriculture with low income and lack of leisure and cultural activity. The interviewees had rarely experience about social welfare service and are in great need of it. The more experience they have, the more need. Regardless of the characteristics of the interviewee, they are in strong need of social welfare service. This means supply cannot meet demand. About social welfare service of rural church, 42.7% of the interviewee answered rural church must provide this service and 39.3% answered should, so total 82% answered naturally have to. About the participation rate, 36.7% of the interviewee will always participate in service, 53.3% will participate in it when it is necessary, so total rate is 90%. Cooperative management is suggested to make rural church provide social welfare service. It is necessary for rural church to develop and provide diverse welfare service that is suitable for the people in a village through diverse cooperative management solution, though rural church has lack of resource. In order to meet the need of social welfare service, a role of rural church is as follows. First, human resource should be trained and maintained for social welfare service. Second, financial support should be retained. Third, social welfare service program should be developed corresponding actual rural situation. Fourth, facility to provide social welfare service and system to use current church facility should be secured. Fifth, cooperative solidarity system to offer social welfare service should be expanded.
