본 논문은 ATM 망 장애 관리의 한 부분으로서 링크 또는 노드 고장 시에 빠른 복구를 위한 알고리즘을 제시한다. 제안하는 복구 방식은 VP-기반 연결 설정 및 라우팅을 수행하는 ATM 망 위에서 동작한다. 망의 고장이 인지되면 구간, 지역, 종단간의 세가지 정해진 복구 방식에 따라 복구가 진행된다. 이를 위하여 복구를 수행하는 노드와 , 복구되는 링크의 복구 수준을 단계로 구분하였으며, 주어진 단계에 맞는 복구가 진행되도록 하였다. 고장이 발생하면 복구 루프를 따라 복구 메시지를 이용하여 분산 복구 방식으로 복구하는 루프 확장 고속 복구 알고리즘을 개발 하였으며, 이에 필요한 VP 루프 구조, 메시지와 절차 등을 정의하였다. 구현한 알고리즘을 다른 일반적인 플러딩 복구 방법과 비교하였다. 실험 결과 망 내의 부하를 적게 주면서 빠른 복구 성능을 제공함을 알 수 있었다. In this paper, we propose a fast restoration scheme against a link or node failure as a part of fault management of ATM network. Proposed scheme operates on VP-based ATM network performing connection establishment and routing functions based on virtual path concept. Proposed scheme is a distributed algorithm performed concurrently by network nodes neighboring failed node or link. When a node or link fails, restoration is performed according to the pre-assigned local, regional, end-to-end restoration scheme. When failure occurs, loop is expanded and this expanded loop is used for the restoration of the failed connection. We define the required VP loop architecture, restoration messages and restoration procedures. Proposed algorithm is simulated and compared with general flooding restoration scheme. Simulated Results show that the proposed loop-expanding scheme can achieve fast restoration goal with lower burden to network.
