Smart Home 환경에서의 욕실 공간 사용자 경험(UX) 디자인 특성 연

(연구배경 및 목적) 본 연구는 새로운 욕실 환경이 스마트 홈 기술을 기반으로 변화할 것임을 인지하는 것에서 시작하였다. 미래 지향적인 Smart 욕실은 사용자 중심의 건강함을 제공하는 공간일 것으로 확인하고, 그 가치를 사용자 경험을 근거로 평가하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 이에 공간에서의 사용자 경험(UX) 디자인의 특성을 도출하여 현재 Smart 욕실 사례의 특성을 분석하고 바람직한 디자인을 제안하고자 한다. (연구방법) 이를 위한 연구 방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스마트 홈 환경과 Smart 욕실에 대한 이론적 배경을 고찰하기 위하여 문헌연구를 진행하였다. 둘째, 사용자 경험을 고찰하고 허니콤모델을 토대로 하여 공간디자인 선행연구에 나타난 사용자 경험 특성들을 유형화시키고, UX 디자인 특성을 도출 하였다. 셋째, 추출한 5가지 UX 디자인 특성을 토대로 사례를 분석하여 나타난 디자인 특성 및 사용자 경험을 종합하였고, 앞으로 필요한 미래 지향적 욕실 디자인 특성을 제시하였다. 분석을 위한 사례는 건설사의 견본 주택의 스마트 욕실 공간을 사례로 하였다. (결과) 이에 본 연구에서는 UX 디자인 특성을 ‘지원성, 다감각성, 안전성, 접근성, 맥락성’으로 5가지 특성을 도출할 수 있었다. 이를 기준으로 사례 분석한 결과, 지원성과 접근성은 빈도수가 높아 거의 모든 사례에서 발견 가능하였으나 지원성의 경우 인터렉션 미디어를 이용함에 있어 조작적 경험이 부족하였다. 또한 다감각성, 안전성, 맥락성은 사용자 경험 측면에서 미비한 부분을 발견하였고, 다감각성의 경우에는 두 가지 감각을 동시에 자극하는 몰입이 이루어지지 못했다. 이렇게 각 분석된 특성들은 사용자 경험으로 분류 가능하였고, 일정한 상관성을 보였다. (결론) 스마트 홈 환경에서의 욕실 공간이란 사용자 중심의 건강을 위한 공간으로 발전하고 있기에 UX 디자인과의 연계가 중요시 되고 있다. 또한, 최근 바이러스에 대한 논의가 많은 시점에 욕실의 청결, 위생, 안전 등의 중요한 기능을 활성화하고, 사용자 경험을 유도하는 UX 디자인 특성을 적용해야 바람직한 욕실을 기대할 수 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구의 의의는 각 UX 디자인 특성과 스마트 욕실 사례와의 관계성을 확인 하였으며, 공간디자인 측면에서 미래 지향적 Smart 욕실에서의 UX 디자인 특성을 평가했다는 것에 있다. (Research Background and Purpose) This study began with recognizing that the new bathroom environment will change based on smart home technology. The purpose of this study is to confirm that the future-oriented smart bathroom will be a space that provides user-centered health and evaluate its value based on user experience. Therefore, we intend to analyze the currently proposed Smart Bathroom and propose a design by deriving the characteristics of the user experience (UX) design in space. (Research method) The research methods for this are as follows. First, a literature study was conducted to examine the theoretical background of the smart home environment and smart bathroom. Second, the user experience was reviewed, and the UX design characteristics were derived by analyzing previous studies on spatial design with connection with the user experience based on the honeycomb model. Third, the case was analyzed based on the five extracted UX design characteristics, the design characteristics and user experiences that appeared, and future-oriented bathroom design characteristics that are needed in the future were presented. In the case analysis, the smart bathroom space in the sample house of the construction company was used as an example. (Result) Therefore, in this study, five characteristics of UX design characteristics were derived: 'support, polysensitivity, safety, accessibility, and contextuality'. As a result of case analysis based on this, support and accessibility were found in almost all cases due to their high frequency, but support may be evaluated as being found in all cases, but there was insufficient operational experience in using interaction media. In addition, polysensitivity safety and contextuality were found to be insufficient in terms of user experience, and in the case of polysensitivity, immersion that stimulates both senses at the same time was not achieved. Each of the analyzed characteristics could be classified as a user experience and showed a certain correlation. (Conclusion) As bathroom space in a smart home environment is developing into a user-centered health space, it is highly likely that supplementation with UX design will be important. In addition, at a time when there are many recent discussions, desirable bathrooms can be expected only when important functions such as cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of bathrooms are activated and UX characteristics that induce user experience are applied. Accordingly, this study confirmed the relationship between each UX characteristic and smart bathroom case, and it is meaningful that it evaluated the characteristics of UX design in future-oriented smart bathrooms in terms of spatial design.
