Vehicle tuning process to reduce the noise of power steering system using trial & error method and high pressure hose takes a lot of time and cost. This research is aimed both to get the optimum performance and to reduce the tuning time with regard to noise from a power steering system by setting up a process and analysis program.

This paper presents the fluctuation of internal pressure and the deformation characteristics of cam ring in a balanced type vane pump. Cam-ring is operated in the condition of high pressure and low pressure repeatedly. Pressure overshoot occur due to the accelerated fluid, so result in pressure ripple, flow ripple, noise, and internal part broken. As a result of measuring and analysis, we have found oscillation of pressure and compression chamber pressure depend on the rotational speeds. The Results indicate that the surge pressures of the chambers at the instant moment of discharge and closure are affected by the rotating speed.

Steer-By-Wire is the one of the advanced technology that will be applied of steering system for the futuristic vehicle. It has removed the mechanical linkages connected between steering wheel and tire. For the result of this omission, it can be enhanced the safety of car crash and simplified vehicle design process. For the previous research, dual-motor type L/RH separated Rack assembly has been developed with based on the HILS. Likewise, ECU & control logic has been developed and harmonized with this type. In this research, it has been developed the reformation of ECU for next generation as well as vehicle package alternation with system completed in the first year of second step. Automatic code formation of control logic has been used to make an improvement of counter-steer and rack position control logic. At the conclusion, it has been verified in the test vehicle.
