It has been always an issue that charging the electric vehicle takes too much time unlike ICE vehicles. It is main reason slows down the transition from ICE vehicles to electric vehicles. To overcome this problem, Battery Swap Station, so-called BSS, has become most important platform in small vehicle markets like electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler. And, it is mandatory to standardize battery and to lower the weight of battery to manage BSS platform. Many corporation is on the process to launch various products within BSS platform. However, standardizing and lightening the battery forces electric vehicles to be low-powered to increase one-charge mileage. To operate high-powered electric vehicle like three-wheeler using BSS, connecting batteries in series and parallel can be solution. This research deals with what are the system components, pros and cons, and risks to connect battery pack in series and parallel, what are the solutions, what are verification and evaluation results of this vehicle….

The transition to eco-friendly mobility is accelerating around the world based on the recent national-level pollution-free vehicle conversion policy and raising environmental awareness. In order to achieve carbon neutrality in 2050, a rapid response is required, and attention is focused on the trend of mobility in Asia, which emits large amounts of greenhouse gas in the transportation sector. Therefore, if we take the lead in the development of two-wheeled and three-wheeled vehicles, which are the main means of transportation in many countries in East and Southwest Asia and are the main targets of vehicle electrification policies, it will be an opportunity to preoccupy major markets. In this study, performance tests were conducted with different battery systems mounted on the same electric three-wheeled vehicle, and the results were compared and analyzed to find ways to improve marketability.

A direction indicator lamp is an essential component not only automobile but also Wheeler to indicate to other roaddrivers that the driver intends to change a direction to the right or to the left. To drive safely, the direction indicator lamp should be operated accordingly when driver orders to operate it by setting direction indicator lamp’s switch ON. If the direction indicator lamp is in trouble, it should be informed with certain sound or display so that driver is to repair it. For that reason, the regulation of Wheeler requires when the failure of direction indicator lamp occurs the failure should be informed to driver with a certain pattern of sound or a displaying in cluster. Therefore, this study suggest a simple way to detect the failure of direction indicator lamp using High-side driver’s Sensing Current signal to detect the failure without installing any additional components or relay.
