國內 三種의 自生 Chrysanthemum屬 植物의 開花期 調節에 關한 硏究

Korean wild Chrysanthemum indicum, C. boreale and C. Zawadskii have been examined to study on their flowering habits under different environmental regimes in order to use them hopefully for beneficial cultural purposes by controlling the planting time and short - day treatments. The experimental results were as follows : 1.The earlier the planting time, the greater the stem length, plant height and the number of flowers produced. Flowering time was delayed more as the planting time was set behind, although the difference in the time required for flowering was almost negligible. 2.When the duration of short- day treatment was longer (namely the treatment is given earlier than the ordinary), Plant height became shortest with 7-hour long-day treatment. C. zawadskii showed the similar response to the other two species. The short-day treatment resulted in significant reduction in plant height compared with the control. 3.As the duration of short-day treatment became shorter, the number of flowers produced per plant on both C. indicum and C. boreale were increased, namely the number was increased as the treatment for C. zawadskii started later. The short-day treatment did not seem to influence very much on enhancing the flowering. It seemed to be due much to the summer hot temperature. Neverthless, C. boreale exhibited most typical nature of the short-day plant whose flowering was promoted by the short-day treatment.
