Due to urbanization, traffic noise complaints are increasing in areas near roads, and urgent alternatives are required to provide a comfortable living environment for the people. In this study, a device that can be attached to the windows of apartment houses were studied to directly block the traffic noise at a building facade, by securing sound insulation in a naturally ventilated condition. A ventilation system was constructed by applying a silencer-type plenum structure, and a total of three design variables were selected: Ventilator height (H), Ventilator depth (D), and Opening height (h). The influence of sound insulation and ventilation performances according to individual design variables was analyzed using computational analysis after validating the prediction accuracy by the comparison with experimental data. As a result of the analysis assuming the application of 4 plenums in 84 ㎡ housing, to satisfy the minimum ventilation performance, an opening height of 30 mm and a device depth of 10 mm and the device height was insignificant. Finally, the noise-reducing natural ventilation system developed in this study was analyzed to be able to secure 25 dB of sound insulation performance by satisfying the acceptable ventilation performance when opened. It is expected that it can be used for noise reduction and natural ventilation in residential areas near roadsides.

In South Korea, it has been increased the necessity of supplying housing services to meet the needs and desires of various residents by reflecting various demographic and social changes. In particular, various smart device has been widely utilized in South Korea and the smart technologies, such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things has been developed rapidly. These smart technologies could support smart housing that allows residents to easily and comfortably employ residential services. However, it is necessary to improve the awareness of users in order to spread the smart housing residential services connected to smart technologies. For this reason, this study observed changes in users' perceptions of smart housing residential service technology using Living Lab. As a result, after experiencing the Living Lab, users' awareness of smart housing housing service increased, and it was observed that the preferred housing service technology was more detailed than before the Living Lab experience. This study shows that it is important to raise users' awareness for the dissemination of smart housing residential service technology, and that Living Lab can be an effective means for this purpose.

Recently, the outdoor space in apartment complex becomes a important space for the life community. The outdoor space in apartment complex refers not a space in a natural state, but a space artificially made by surrounding buildings that build the outdoor space, a space with acoustically various resonance forms is composed. In this study, we measure and analyze the acoustical characteristics of courtyard type outdoor space in apartment complex. As a result, the reverberation time in measured for about 2.1 ~ 3.1 seconds. SPL attenuation pattern showed a slight difference in sound sources and measurement point by location.
