한국어 학습자의 쓰기 자료에 나타난 복잡성 및 정확성 연구 -숙달도 측정 지표로써의 활용 가능성-

본 연구는 한국어 학습자의 문어 산출에서 나타난 복잡성 및 정확성이 어떤 발달양상을 보이며, 학습자의 쓰기 점수와 어떤 관계가 있는가를 살펴봄으로써 학습자 중간언어 발달을 측정하는 지표로서의 복잡성 및 정확성이 한국어교육에도 적합한 지를 검증하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 한국어 학습자의 숙달도가 잘 반영되고 여러 변인이 효과적으로 통제된 한국어능력 모의시험의 쓰기 자료를 수집하여 복잡성과 정확성을 분석하였다. 쓰기 자료는 중국, 일본, 미국 등 세계 여러 국가의 학습자들이 쓴 것인데 본 연구는 각 등급 간의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 각 등급에모두 30명 이상을 차지하는 중국인 학습자의 자료를 추출하였다. 또한, 쓰기 주제가 복잡성과 정확성에 미치는 영향을 줄이기 위하여 3개 주제의 글쓰기 자료를 균형적 으로 선택하였다. 복잡성은 통사적 복잡성 및 어휘적 복잡성으로 구분하였으며 통사적 복잡성 측정요인은 문장 길이(문장 당 어휘 수), 문장 확장(문장 당 연결어미 수,문장 당 전성어미 수, 문장 당 인용조사 수)으로, 어휘적 복잡성은 어휘 다양도, 어휘 밀도, 어휘 세련도로 설정하였다. 정확성은 오류문 비율과 문장 당 오류 수를 통해측정하였다. 분석 결과, 문장 당 어휘 수, 문장 당 연결어미 수, 문장 당 전성어미 수가 전체 집단 간에 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다(하<중<상). 그리고 오류 문 비율과 문장 당 오류 수가 모든 집단 간에 모두 유의미한 차이가 있음을 알 수 있다(하>중>상). 또한 점수에 영향을 미치는 변수로서의 복잡성과 정확성 하위요인들을 확인한 결과 통사적 복잡성 하위요인 중에 문장 당 연결어미 수는 39.4%의 설명 력, 문장 당 전성어미 수는 25.8%의 설명력을 가진 것을 확인하였고, 정확성 하위요인 중에 문장 당 오류 수는 22.6%의 설명력을 가진 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to study the development process of Korean language learners writing ability and find effective indicators for measuring writing ability. So Topic writing materials were used for this purpose. Complexity is divided into syntactic complexity and lexical complexity. The metrics of syntactic complexity consists of sentence length(the number of words per sentence), sentence expansion (the number of connected endings per sentence, the number of changing endings per sentence and the number of quotation postpositions per sentence). The metrics of vocabulary complexity consists of lexical diversity, lexical density and lexical sophistication. Accuracy is determined by the ratio of erroneous sentences and the number of errors per sentence. The research results are as follows. there are meaningful differences among groups as for the number of words per sentence, the number of connected endings per sentence, the number of changing endings per sentence, the ratio of erroneous sentences and the number of errors per sentence. It was found that the number of connected endings per sentence had a 39.4% explanation, the number of changing endings per sentence had a 25.8% explanation and the number of errors per sentence had a 22.6% explanation on the writing score.

This study explores effects of dictionary use on reading comprehension and vocabulary learning. The main research questions were investigated as follows: What kind of dictionary is more useful for Korean learners’ reading comprehension between the bilingual dictionary (BD) and monolingual dictionary (MD) groups? What kind of dictionary is more useful for Korean learners’ vocabulary short-term memory and long-term memory between the BD and the MD? In order to obtain the answers, it was targeted the Chinese Korean learners to be divided by BD group, and MD group in the test. For conduct an experiement, the texts were given in accordance with two types of dictionaries which could be used freely to understand the texts. After finishing voluntary use of dictionary, the reading comprehension tests were performed. The 1st receptive and productive vocabulary tests were performed to evaluate the use of dictionary effects, and the 2nd vocabulary tests were performed 7 day after the 1st vocabulary test. The test results implied that the use of MD enhanced the vocabulary learning with long term memory, however, the types of receptive vocabulary knowledge with short-term memory and reading comprehension also are not influenced by selecting the use of different dictionaries.

본 연구는 중급, 고급 중국인 한국어 학습자들의 어휘 풍요도를 분석하여 이를 통해 학습자의 어휘 능력 발달을 측정할 수 있는 도구로써 쓰기 능력을 측정하는 지표로 사용할 수 있는가를 모색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서 중국어권 중급, 고급 한국어 학습자들의 쓰기 평가 자료를 연구 대상으로 삼아서 학습자 작문 총 40편을 수집하여 어휘 풍요도를 분석하였다. 어휘 풍요도를 분석하기 위해 어휘 다양도, 어휘 밀도, 어휘 세련도를 측정하였다. 분석 결과, 중국인 학습자들의 글에 나타난 어휘 풍요도는 등급이 올라가도 다양도는 크게 달라지지 않는다는 것을 확인하였고, 밀도와 세련도에 있어서의 차이는 6급 정도의 고급 학습자가 되었을 때는 3,4 급의 중급 학습자와 어휘 사용에 있어 차이가 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 쓰기 점수에 영향을 미치는 어휘 풍요도 변수의 영향을 분석한 결과 어휘 밀도는 쓰기 점수를 30%이상 설명할 수 있는 변수이지만 어휘 다양도와 세련도는 쓰기 점수에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 변수가 아닌 것으로 드러났다. The purpose of this study is to prove whether the lexical richness of Korean learners` writing has correlation with their language development and to observe whether it can be used to measure their language proficiency. To find our the possibility of using the lexical richness score as a reliable measurement and standard of Korean learners` language proficiency, we collected 40 pieces of Chinese Korean learners` writing works from level 3 to level 6. We analyzed the lexical richness by lexical density, lexical diversity, and lexical sophistication, and discovered that level 6 learners` lexical density and lexical sophistication score were better than level 3 and level 4 learners` scores. Also, the hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to examine the relative influence of the 3 vocabulary measurements. Therefore, the results revealed that their lexical density has 30 % account with their writing scores while lexical diversity and lexical sophistication were found that no influence with writing scores. The implication of this study is to explore the possibility of measuring vocabulary richness as a measurement tool of writing scores for Korean language learners.
