Background/Aims: The correct pathologic review is very important after endoscopic submucosal dissection. The cut direction of specimen should be the right angle of the closest area between the lesion and the lateral margin for the correct pathologic review. The aim of this study was to evaluate the concordance of the gross finding and stereoscopic finding compared to the pathologic mapping in the setting of the cut direction. Methods: Between December 2008 and May 2009, the objects were 48 specimens in 46 patients who were diagnosed with early gastric cancer and high grade adenoma after endoscopic submucosal dissection. The specimens were stained with hematoxylin and observed by the stereoscopy and analyzed by the image analysis system. The cut direction was divided by an angle of 45 degree based on the oral side of the specimen, and the cut directions of the gross finding, the stereoscopic finding, and the pathologic finding were compared. Results: The concordance of the gross finding in the setting of the cut direction was 68% (33/48), and the kappa value was 0.626, and the concordance of the stereoscopic finding in the setting of the cut direction was 87% (33/48), and the kappa value was 0.874. The accuracy of the gross finding was significantly lower than that of the stereoscopic finding in the setting of the cut direction (p<0.05). Conclusions: The endoscopist needs the careful observation and close attention in the setting of the cut direction of the specimen by gross finding, and stereoscopic analysis may be a useful tool for decision of the cut direction. Adonais is generally criticzed as a subtle and complex poem. So there has continued to be disagreement about several critical interpretations. Moreover the unity of this poem is still at issue. In this poem, the structure and various images are inseparable because of their mixture into a great one. Thus the method of its study must be focused on the whole forms of Shelley’s works. Above all, skepticism which is one of main streams of literary manifestation is thought not to be ruled out. The reason is that skepticism is at once a consistent literal philosophy and a method of poetic writing all through his works. Next, I will summarize the contents of Adonais from the skeptical point of view. Shelley, though a romantic, uniquely wrote a traditionally elegiac Adonais. But this poem shows his consistent world of works such as absurdity between reality and ideal. Alastor consists of pessimistic skepticism on life throughout, whil Adonais contains Platonic immortality and reality in the imaginative world. Shelley has a skeptical attitude toward the transcendence and immortality, the phenomenal illusion of which is based on Dream of Life principle. Moreover the ambivalence between the lamentation and silence of Keats’s death deepens his skeptical inclination. He is thought to acquire the immortality in the operation of loss and recompensation. His acquirement of the transcendental life can be said to be attributable to his skepticism. He made a delegate―Hour mourn Keats’s death, which evades a double death and gives animation to this poem. Though he feels betrayal of difference between man’s evanescence and the mutabiltiy of nature in the cyclical nature, he can unify phenomenal world with ontological reality. Through the self-portrait of man’s frail form he is convinced that a physical destruction can accomplish a mental world and has acquired a creative poetic inspiration within the form and essence of nature.

Shelley의 Alastor에 나타난 Psyche-epipsyche에 관한 연구

Shelley’s Alastor is attempting to settle a conflict between what might be called the law for nature and the law for love—that is between the material world and psychological world. But we may consider this poem to be the material world, and put emphasis on the philosophical viewpoint because of its quest towards inner being. In the process of searching for inner being, he uses variously invisible symbols beyond visible realities. He is far from being satisfied with external phenomena such as social systems, conventions, but eagerly longs for the ideal beauty beyond them. However, he is unable to cope with these environments effectively unless he is able to establish a connection with some epipsychological counterpart through whom he accomplishes his ideal beauty towards perfection. Thus he creates a Narrator, a poet as his other self through whom he intends to attain this goal. His thought can be said to be derived from Plato’s threefold division of the soul. Thus Shelley’s conception of soul in this poem is alleged to be divided as follows: (1) an immortal spirit, which controls the other two parts, is a dream-symbol. (2) a higher moral or rational soul is expressed as boat-journey and narcissim. (3) a desiring part, which guides the appetites, leads to the Poet’s death because of distorted emotion. Consequently in this poem the separation of epipsyche from psyche produces death, whether actual or symbolic. And the Psyche-Epipsyche theme can be the prototype of his late poems.

Adult intussusception represents 5% of all cases of intussusception and accounts for only 1-5% intestinal obstructions. Intussusception is a rare complication after gastric surgery with an incidence estimated at 0.1%. Early diagnosis of the acute onset intussusception is critical because mortality rates increase abruptly with delay in surgical treatment. We present here a case of jejunogastric intussusception diagnosed by gastroscopy in a patient with a history of distal gastrectomy due to early gastric cancer who had experienced hematemesis. Spontaneous arterial bleeding has been reported rarely. In a patient consuming heavy amounts of alcohol with alcoholic liver cirrhosis, spontaneous bleeding can be evoked by thrombocytopenia, altered platelet function, and shear stress on fully dilated arteries by portal hypertension. Alcohol consumption itself can also predispose a patient to bleeding by influencing the aggregation and activation of platelets, and altering the coagulation and fibrinolysis pathway. All of these mechanisms could cause patients with alcoholic liver cirrhosis to bleed spontaneously; however, conditions inducing peripheral arterial bleeding are very rare. Here, we report three cases of spontaneous arterial bleeding in patients with liver cirrhosis consuming heavy amounts of alcohol. All of the patients bled without any physical trauma, and the involved arteries were the intercostal arteries in two cases and a gastroduodenal artery in the other case. The patients were treated by angiographic embolization. One expired due to recurrence of arterial bleeding despite repeated angiographic embolization and massive transfusion. 러시아 모스크바 지역의 한국학 연구

본 논문은 러시아 모스크바 지역의 한국학 연구에 관한 현황을 다루고 있다. 주지하다시피, 19세기 이래로 한국과 러시아의 관계는 여러 차례 변화된 모습을 보이고 있다. 이와 연관지어 본 논문의 2장에서는 기관을 중심으로 다루고 있는데, 인문사회과학 학술정보 연구소 (INION), <동방학 연구소>에서의 한국학 연구와 관련된 성과들을 소개하고 있다. 아울러 <삼일문화원>, <전러시아 고려인 협회>,<고려인 민족문화자치회>의 연구 현황도 조사하였다. 이를 위해, 5개 기관의 9명의 인터뷰를 통한 실증적 연구 조사를 실시하였다. 3장에서는 한국학 연구의 각 영역에 관한 연구를 다루고 있다. 여기서는 모스크바 대학 산하, 한국학 센터의 ‘러시아의 한국학’을 소개하였다. 특히 정치, 경제, 한국전쟁, 역사, 문화, 언어, 문학 등의 분야별 현황을 소개하였다. 그리고 <극동연구소>의 현황도 소개하였는데, 극동연구소가 한국학과 관련된 인문, 사회 등 분야의 연구에 있어서 경향을 보여주고 있기 때문이다. 4장에서는 구 소련 지역에서의 고려인에 관한 연구의 성격과 특징을 다루고 있다. 고려인 연구는 다양한 영역에서 많은 연구가 행해지고 있는데, 특히 고려인 관련 전기류의 활발한 출판이 이루어지고 있음을 소개하였다. 그러나 결론적으로 추가하면, 비록 한국학 연구가 다방면에서 이루어지고 있지만, 모스크바의 한국학 연구 장려를 위해서는 한국 정부나 민간 학술 기관, 도서관 등의 지원, 협력이 필요하다. Korean Studies in Russia has been changed several times since the official relation between Korea and Russia in the late nineteenth century. In chapter 2, we introduced the materials on Korean studies in <Institute of scientific documentation for social science studies> and <Institute of Oriental Studies>, which are the two greatest institutions having a lot of materials on Korean studies. In addition, we included the monographs, which were recently published by <Cultural center samil>, <Korean association in Russia> and <Federal national-cultural autonomy>. Besides analyzing the materials, we interviewed 9 persons of the above 5 institutions for this research. In chapter 3, we researched the character and peculiarities of the Korean Studies in the field of politics & economics, Korean war, history & culture, and language & literature. For this aim, we relatively in detail introduced the recent edition of “The Korean Studies in Russia” published by the Korean Center of the Moscow State University. And we introduced the Conference proceedings on Korean Studies of <Institute of Far eastern Studies>. Because we thought that they included articles showing the research tendency of the humanities and social sciences of the Korean Studies. Our research shows as follows: the increase of the studies on the recent politics, economy, and history, and the few of the studies on the culture and traditional society. In chapter 4, we analyzed the monographs on the Koryosaram, Korean Diaspora in CIS. The Koryosaram research shows us a lot of diverse fields more and more. But among them the publication of autobiography becomes a distinct character. In conclusion, we think that the supports of the Korean government, civil research institutes and libraries are requisite for the encouragement of the Korean Studies in Moscow.
