The subacute monocytic Ieuken ia, very rare than other types of leukemia, has clinically studied. A case of subacute monocvtic leukemia was described in this report. A 36 year old male patient was adrritted to Woo-sok University Hospital complaining of general weakness, easy fatigability, indigestion and epigastric discomfort for a few months. And he bas a history of having inge..ted some kinds of eating grass for the last one month, The physical findings on ac!mision revealed moderate statured ordinarily nourished male. Petecbial hemorrhage was noted at the antecubital reas. Conjuctiva was anemic. Liver was palpable below the right costal n argin by 4 F.B. with sharp edge, smooth surface and soft consictency. Spleen was alo palpable below the left co-tal margin by I F.b. The routine laboratory examination including C.B.C., urinaly.-is and ctool examination was performed. C.B.C. showed W.B.C. 19,350,'mm, R.B.C. 23X10000/mm, Hb. 5. 4gm/dl., Platelet 78, 000/mm, blast cell 80zy in D.C., rnonocyte 49zg in D.C., bleeding time 13 and coagulation time 9. Urinalysis showed R.B.C. many,H.P.F. in microscopic examination. And blood chemistry including L.F.T. were vithin normal limits. The X-ray film of the upner G-I series revealed multiple gastric uIcer with scarring and induration. Days later, high spiking fever iva; returned to the normal level and his conditions were improved except anemic condition.
