Architectural mechanical system is composed of many subsystems such as hot and cold water supply system, drain system, ventilation system, heating system and cooling system. The data among different architectural mechanical systems are not exchangeable because the storage methods and the representation methods of data are different from an application to an other application. This results in unexpected errors and inefficient productivity in the field of architectural mechanical profession. To avoid such problem, an integrated architectural mechanical model is constructed in this study. The model is designed to provide mechanical information effectively among various mechanical systems. The model is represented using an entity relationship(ER) diagram. The followings are the major results from this research: 1)Architectural mechanical systems are analyzed systematically according to their function. 2)Architectural mechanical systems are modeled using ER diagrams.
건축 CAD의 통합화를 위한 객체지향형 빌딩모델에 관한 연구

This paper suggests a prototype integrated building model which can supply necessary data to various application programs in the field of architecture. Data models for a building and its shape are represented using entity-relationship diagram(ERD), and schema definitions for an object-oriented database are suggested. Providing necessary interface programs between the database and application programs, the integrated building data can be stored in the database and used for other evalutaions.
