장애아동의 비장애 형제자매 지원프로그램이 비장애 형제자매의 대처,적응력에 미치는 효과

본 연구는 장애아동의 비장애 형제자매를 대상으로 한 프로그램이 비장애 형제자매의 대처ㆍ적응력에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하는 목적으로 실시되었다. 이 연구 목적에 따라 장애아동 형제자매 38명을 통제집단과 실험집단으로 나누어 실험집단에 한하여 비장애 형제자매지원프로그램을 실시하였으며, 장애아동 형제자매 대처ㆍ적응 척도(Coping/Adjustment Scale for Children of Siblings with Disabilities)를 통해 비장애 형제자매의 대처ㆍ적응력 척도의 총점과 하위영역인 능력/지식, 부담감, 학교/친구, 화/분노, 정신건강, 미래관심의 6개 영역에서 통제집단과 실험집단 간에 차이가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서 사용한 비장애형제자매 지원프로그램은 선행연구를 고찰하여 비장애 형제자매의 대처ㆍ적응력에 영향을 미칠 것으로 생각하는 변인들을 뽑아 연구자가 개발하였으며, 총 8회기 동안 실시하였다. 연구결과, 실험집단은 사전검사보다 사후검사에서 전체 대처ㆍ적응력이 통계적으로 의미한 향상을 보였으며, 부담감 영역과 미래의 정신건강 영역을 제외한 5개의 하위영역에서 적응 정도가 좋아진 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 하위영역별로 살펴보면, 화/분노, 정신건강 영역에서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으나 나머지 하위영역에서는 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 추후 연구와 향후 비장애 형제자매 지원을 위한 프로그램 개발의 방향을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study was to develop a Sibling Program for siblings of children with disabilities which was based affirmative characters and investigate the effect of the program on the coping/adjustment abilities of siblings of children with disabilities. The variables of program were divided into inter-personal and intra-personal characters. The inter-personal characters were maturation and endear, self-esteem and the intra-personal characters were networks to support family and fellowship which felt at same situation. The coping/adjustment abilities were composed six sub- categories, which were competence/knowing, burden, friend-school, anger, psychological health, and future copingㆍadjustment. The Scale of this study was Coping/Adjustment Scale for Children of Siblings with Disabilities developed by Perry(1989). The statical method, t test were used to find difference of control group and experimental group. A pre-post test controlled group design was used in this study through 38 children at elementary school. The conclusion of this study was to present meaningful difference between controlled group and experimental group on copingㆍadjustment, specially, anger and psychological health. But two sub-categories, which were burden, future copingㆍadjustment didn’t make remarkable improvement. For future studies, the limits and the directions were discussed on the current study.
