As the industry develops, many researches are being conducted to make complex shapes and lightweight using 3D printing process to make small products and medical human body products. It is known that the PEB method is advantageous for a small-sized and complex-shaped product, and the DED method is advantageous for a large-sized and simple-shaped product. In the current 3D printing business, the production of ABS resin and plastic products is common, but metal products are limitedly applied to collaboration and will be used in the right place in the future by utilizing these processes. In this paper, we will consider the possibility of using 3D printing PEB method for structural products manufactured by using plate material or forging material for development and structural use.

Coast center cities of Northeast Asia are nominated most frequently as a hub of metro-regions in the world. This thesis focuses on Dalian in China, Fukuoka in Japan and Vladivostok in Russia as sample cases of coast center cities for the comparative study of their metro-region growth strategy and governance characteristics. Three major dimensions are comparatively reviewed. They are 1) the background of appearance of metro-regions, 2) basic plan and project of development strategy of metro-regions, and 3) system and governance of development strategy of metro-regions. As a result, first of all, it is found that all the three cities have tried to gather regional resources and to operate them effectively to achieve global competitiveness. Also, based on their regional characteristics as coastal hub city, they share the understanding of growth of distribution center through the ports. Secondly, in order to develop the metro-region, it is found that the Local government support as well as the central government one are very important. Thirdly, partnership and systemic co-responsibility between central government and local government are very critical in establishing a development plan for metro-region. Finally, it is found that all they tried hard to overcome the separatism of administrative units, to develop the strategic industry, to make a clear functional division between cities, to develop central hub cities in metropolitan region, and to secure active cooperation from adjacent cities. In conclusion, this study found that successful development of metro-region shall be determined upon governance between central and Local, governance between locals, value creation effectiveness of formation and operation of Linked network organization, democratic process of participation, and dynamic structure of flexibility and openness.
