The Effects of Information System Technology on The Savings Institutions

In a study involving 52 large organizations in the savings institutions industry, the relationship between information systems technology (IST) structure and competitive strategy was investigated based on structural contingency theory. Structural contingency theory argues that organizational performance is contingent on the congruence between structure and contingent factors. Competitive strategy is considered to be the most important contingent factor among organizational context variables. Two dimensions of IST structure and three types of competitive strategy were employed to test a contingency model. It was found that enhanced congruence between IST structure and competitive strategy was associated with higher competitive advantage. The structural dimension significantly associated with the "defender" strategic stance was more centralized and more integrated application of IST, while the structural dimension significantly associated with "prospector" positing was more decentralized and less integrated application of IST.

국내 GIS산업은 일관성 없는 정부 정책과 시장에서의 수익모델 부재, 업체간 과당, 국가지리정보체계(NGIS)사업의 추진체계 미비, 중복투자, 부처이기주의, 국내 GIS시장이 시스템통합(Sl)분야에 대기업과 중소기업간 하청·채하청 관계로 인한 구조적 모순과 과당경쟁, 저가입찰, 덤핑수주 등이 GIS 산업발전의 저해 요소가 되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 산업계, 정부, 및 학계는 서로의 적절한 역할 분담으로 GIS 활성화 방안으로 다음과 같은 대안을 제시한다. 정부 주도형에서 민간주도형의 자유 시장경제에서 산업육성, 상호 공존을 중시하는 산업 문화의 조성, GIS 관련 분야별 이기주의의 타파, 공간정보의 유통 및 활용을 위한 기반요건 마련,공리주의에 입각한 GIS 정책입안의 방법을 제시한다.
Do Quality-Focused Retailer Brand Types Contribute to Building Store Loyalty in Korea?

Purpose - The research aim is to shed empirical light on whether quality-focused retailer brands such as Premium brand of Tesco Korea, Prime of Lotte Mart, and Best of E-Mart in the grocery market, make a contribution to developing store loyalty in the Korean market particularly. Research design, data, methodology - After developing sixconstructs, such as higher quality, stock availability, price levels, national brands, retailer brand attitudes, and store loyalty, the authors adopted exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, chi-square test and structural equation modelling as a research technique. Results - It was found that higher quality strongly influences the retailer brand attitude formation, and that retailer brand customers were sensitive to price levels. Buyers are, nevertheless, relatively less aware of price levels, when purchasing quality-oriented retailer brand types. Conclusions - The research implied that quality-oriented retailer brand types make a significant contribution to retailer brands attitude formation, and further, building store loyalty.

Because of the increasing interest on knowledge management various researches have been accomplished. The role of knowledge as the key source of potential advantage for organizations and economies has become a hotly debated topic. However, most researches are investigated within the conceptual framework such as definitions. This study investigated the development methodology of the knowledge management system(KMS). In this dissertation, the methodology of KMS development is studied through analyzing the KMS. Companies take various kind of methods and tactics that reflect the type of knowledge work, organizational culture, and the business requirement for the change project. Knowledge management coexists well with business strategy, with process management, with staying close to customers and so forth. Knowledge management draws from existing resources that organizations may already have in place. Based on the research, the methodology framework for knowledge management system development consists of seven parts as the followings. This paper investigates the strategies of internet business(IB) for competitive advantages. The important strategies for IB are summarized as follows: (1) survial strategy (2) the specialization and differentiation of business items, (3) the link existing buiness into IB, and (4) M&A and strategic alliance. As is shown in the real case study, these strategies are main streams in the IB.
ERP 도입 방안에 관한 연구 : 의류패션 산업 중심으로 사례분석

국내 기업들의 ERP 시스템 도입 사례는 대기업에서 중소기업으로 제조업 중심에서 금융, 서비스, 유통, 의류패션산업 등 다양한 산업 분야로 그 영역을 확장하고 있다. 의류패션 산업은 SCM (Supply Chain Management), CRM(Customer Relationship Management)과 같은 확장 ERP 시스템의 도입이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구의 사례분석에 의하면 여러 가지 측면의 ERP 시스템이 확장 방향 중에서 산업별 특성에 따른 ERP 시스템의 개발은 해당 산업의 규모와 중요성의 순서에 따라 그 깊이와 범위가 다르게 이루어졌으며 소수의 특이한 산업에 대한 솔루션은 미개발 상태인 경우가 많았다. 또한 의류패션 산업 분야에서는ERP 시스템을 도입한 기업은 변화수용능력이 높고, 기업 조직의 분권화가 이루어져 있으며 최고 경영자의 지원이 높고 정보 시스템 수준도 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 또한, ERP 시스템 도입 방법에 따라 기업 특성별로 다른 방법론을 선택해야 만이 그 성과를 높일 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다.
