Since gaseous hydrogen has a low density, it should be compressed and stored under high pressure to be used as a fuel for transportation. Therefore, strict evaluation of hydrogen tanks is required to ensure the safety of passengers. In this study, operating conditions of heat exchanger were analyzed for the design of equipment that performs repeated pressurization tests on hydrogen tanks. The heat exchanger and working fluids were selected to be used in the same configuration in low and high temperature tests. Flow rate and temperature of the refrigerant were adjusted to maintain the target temperature of antifreeze. According to the numerical analysis results, due to the latent heat of evaporation, the mass flow rate of R507A was six times higher in the high-temperature test than in the low-temperature test. However, if the R507A is compressed in the high-temperature test, the volumetric flow rate in the high-temperature test can be equal to or lower than the low-temperature test.
