        From late '80s to early '90s, merely for 6-8 years, abrupt expansion of our construction industry was wonder, but actual result was abnormal. That was the result of only quantitative expansion without qualitative expansion. The absence of technical mind, superior technical personnel upbringing, the inferiority of small scale special construction companies, upcoming vision for the construction industry, and government's rule of thumb thinking for the construction regulation. It was too natural that we could not succeed in all at once pressing quantitive expansion, since we were indifferent for all of these indispensible factors for the development of construction industry or inefficiently, unconcentratively enforced. There is only one way for our construction. That can be realized by making a pivotal point in our country to make up for worldwide sunken our trust. For this, construction industry itself should present tangible and feasible 21 Century future directive vision. That is, we have to get out of old fashioned negative image of technical mind, and devote all our ability to establish new technical mind in construction industry. Regardless of unceasing changes in Government's regulations, construction industry itself should present a policy to realize 21 century vision. Under these nowaday situations and backgrounds of construction industry, it was studied conceptionally but as definitely as possible some enforcement subjects in the position of construction industry and Government, and as a short term and long term vision to re-establish a role of construction industry in the presence of 21 century. Making the investigation and analysis for above subjects, we will be able to prepare for internationalization and open-market of our construction industry, and these could be a conceptional milestone for the 21 century future directive development direction of construction industry.

      • 사면 내 객토의 선택에 대한 연구

        This paper attempts to examine a study on the selection of the soil brought from another place ln the slope. The result of this study were; 1) the relationship between the variation rate of the quantity of fluid flow and the percent passing with No.200 sieve showed straight line using the semi-log transformation, 2)the relationship between the quantity of the fluid flow(k) and the settlements (h) for the non-plastic soils are as follows: k2=c(h12/h22)×k1 {k: quantity of fluid flow(cc/min), c: constant, h: settlement(mm)}, 3)the quantity of moving of the slope soils appeared the cohesive soils more than low, 4)the soils on slope according to model testing were the percent passing with No.200 sieve =24% and the cohesive soil.(IP=9), 4)the suitable soil on stability of the slopes and the growth of the grass were the plastic soil(plastic index=10) in the percent passing with No.200 38%-62%.

        This paper attempts to a Study on the growth of grass and the moving of the soil in the slope.The result of this study were; 1)the quantity of moving of the slope in the soils appeared the soils of high plasticity morethan low 2)Available water capacity of centrifuge moisture equivalent tester appeared plastic soil more than high 3)the growth of the grass appeared the plastic soil(plasticindex=2) more than growth. 4)the soils in the slope was suitability the plastic soil(plasticindex=2)

        It is following to conclude after unconfined compression test in order to find strength changing according to specimen-size of compacted clay in connecting with freezing-thawing. 1) one freezing-thawing clay Increasing strength corresponded to increasing strength curve of unfreezing clay 2)The ratio of decreasing strength of one freezing-thawing clay appeared better that specimen-size is better. This relationship appeared linear in semi-log graph. 3) The ratio of decreasing strength after seven freezing-thawing was in proportion to capacity.

      • 沖積粘土의 諸 土質係數의 相關關係에 關한 硏究

        This study was made to find several significant relations among various soil parameter of physical and mechanical properties including N-value. The soil sample ware taken at district of Seosan, Choong-nam, where the structures would be placed on the alluvial clay foundation. It was the statistical analysis through computer programs, Minitab statistics package, were carried out using the results of laboratory and field tests of 79 soil samples The obtain results from this study are summarized as follows : 1. Judging form Casagrande's plasticity chart, it is considered that almost all soil samples belong to inorganic silty caly with medium or high plasticuty. 2. The relationship between various physical and mechanical properties including N-value for the alluvial clay samples are presented as follow : 1) W_(L) =0.963(C_(y)+20.47) 2) e_(0) =0.027(W_(n)+5.093) 3)y_(t) =0.011(212.26-W_(N)) 4)q_(U) =1.00(y_(t)-1.49) 5)C=0.531(q_(u)+0.033) 6)C_(C)=0.014(W_(n)-17.41) 7)C_(C)=0.009(W_(L)-9.835) 8)C_(C)=0.009(I_(P)+13.51) 9)C_(C)=0.505(e_(0)-0.495)

      • 우리나라 海成堆積土의 壓縮指數에 關한 硏究

        It is generalized that the compression index of soft soil is the main parameters to calculate the settlement. To determine the parameters, we must take consolidation test in the laboratory, but the test is very difficult because of sampling, disturbance, etc. An account of this reason, many reporter have studied to identify the relationship between the compression index and the other soil properties except consolidation test method. The investigation discribed in this paper are to analyze the correlation between the compression index and the other soil preperties for the Korean marine disposit clay and to compare the previous reports. With parameters and mathematical models being changed, experimental equations were obtained by regression analysis in which a personal computer was used. (Mini-tab statistics package) The analyzed result for 401 undisturbed samples have shown that the compression index is related to liquid limit, in-place ratio, and natural moisture content. The results from this study asre a follow : 1) I_(p)=0.819(W_(L)-20) 2) C_(C)=0.0148(W_(L)-20) 3) C_(C)=0.0122(W_(n)-11.5) 4) C_(C)=0.392(e.-0.24)
