This paper is about a thematic analysis of the novel "Stories of our alley" written by an Egyptian writer Najiib Mahfu˘z. As he told that, in an interview, "I was born in an old Cairene alley and love it. I believe that the connection between wrier and place, human being or high ideal is love. These old allies are all to me. Therefore when I wrote about my old alley, I feel best condition", the alley which he lived represents a small man's world in his novels and also is found in any regions in this world. He chose the novel's subjects from the special region i.e. Cairene alley, but the man's worries common to other world and the he describes them in a highly artistic manner, this leads us to the widely common feeling regardless of anyone's nationality. This novel is, I think, a very important data which shows something about writer's life.

This paper deals with the survey for the process of the development of Andalusi Poetry in consideration with the regional. social, cultural characteristics of its own. In an attempt to reach its aim, this paper consists of five chapters. The first chapter is the brief survey of the literary circumstances and its effect in Andalus and in second chapter, in view of the Arab-Muslim's long rule over the Iberian peninsular, I try to check the reason of the development and its aspects for each period of each kingdom. In third chapter, I deal with how such a circumstances affect the subject of the poetry. Meanwhile in fourth chapter I realized that the most important and the greatest literary achievement in Andalusi poetry is muwashashaha. Through the survey for the rise and development of the muwashashaha, it is concluded that the Andalusi poetry reflects the regional circumstances well. Furthermore the work of Andalusi poets did not merely reflected the direct influence of eastern poets, yet it is a revolution to the old poetry in the East. Finally in conclusion, I feel the need to study the Andalusi works in detail because of first attempt for the Andalusi literature in Korea and their importances and values for what has affected European literature.

The female in her new role as bred-winner was depicted in the work of socialist authors like Yusuf Idris and Abdul Ragman al-Sharqawi. His first novel concerning the rural society, al-Haram(1959), is one of a number of analytical novels depicting women in their new role. al-Aib(1962) is another novel depicting the drastic change in a girl's character brought about by her working in a man's world, doing a man's job. The forties and fifties clan witnessed an unprecedented growth of female education. An equally increasing number of middle-class women graduates seeking jobs in various fields were bound to upset the old pattern of relations between the sexes. Meanwhile the political and economic emancipation of women was recognized and established by force of revolutionary laws in the sixties, but their social and private status is still governed by old attitudes. Much of women's activity in their job would be recognized, nevertheless women are required to keep their womenhood and morality. The problem is that woman's moral collapse is understood in the frame of society member's prejudice and the brutal social conventions relating to women's behaviour.

Egypt contributed to the world's heritage. an indisputably great civilization such as art, thought, architecture, etc and has been known as the heart-nation of the Arab & Islamic cultures. Egypt lies in the midst of the Arab countries, overlooks the Mediterranean and is located in Africa. Therefore Egypt is closely connected to the world' economy, politics and culture as well as to the regional important fields. It is true that the conflicts and disputes between Israel and Arab, represented as a Palestinian problem, could not be easily solved. It now causes the tension politically, economically in the world. I, in this theses, analyze the position of the Egypt internally as well as internationally and furthermore the reason of the Egypt's especially its rulers' inevitable intervention into the Middle East Peace Process. Then, I would like to know the actual direction and expected results of the President Muhammad Husni Mubarak's peace process through his activities as the leading part in the Middle East crisis. His efforts for overcoming the various domestic difficulties such as Islamic fundamentalism and under-developed economy will be also reviewed. It is because he could resume his responsibility or his role as a peace maker after his settlement for the country's security and economy development.
