The voltage fluctuation is one of grid instability problems caused by a high penetration level of decentralized generating units such as photovoltaic (PV) systems. The reverse load flow by PV systems may lead to a grid voltage fluctuation and increases a risk of overvoltage in times of high solar irradiation. The grid voltage regulation of a PV power conditioning system (PCS) using reactive power is presented in this paper. The influence of reactive power supply by the PV system on the grid voltage is explained and the regulation capability of PCS is discussed. The performance and feasibility of presented method is verified by both simulation and experimental results. The results show that the concept described in this paper can be utilized to keep the grid voltage in its nominal range.

The demand for developing the compact and cost effective commercial version of the photovoltaic power conditioning system(PCS) is now increasing and several commercial products are on the markets. In this paper, several design results of 10kW rated grid-tied photovoltaic PCS system are introduced, and several test results for the system evaluation are also described. The test results verified the validity of the proposed photovoltaic PCS system.
단상 계통연계형 태양광 발전시스템 인버터의 전류제어에 관한 연구

대체에너지 시스템에서 필수적인 계통연계형 인버터는 LC필터를 거친 정현전압 출력에 계통과 연계용 인덕터를 연결하여 사용하여 왔으나, 최근 들어 인버터와 계통을 LC필터 없이 인덕터로만 계통과 연결하여 직접 전류를 제어하는 형태가 적용되고 있다. 또한 출력에 절연 변압기를 사용하던 기존방식과 달리 변압기가 없는 비절연형 인버터는 전류제어를 통해 계통과 직접연결하고, 부피감소와 원가절감을 이룰 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 저주파 절연변압기가 없는 3㎾급의 태양광 발전시스템 시제품을 소개하고 단상계통과 연계한 전류제어 알고리즘의 실험결과를 통해 순시전류제어의 타당성을 확인한다.

This paper describes the information transmission method using communication networks between the devices in Photovoltaic Power System, and also represents the test result which carried out in the field. In this test, transmission signal waveform, polling time, response time and request/response frame were measured between the devices. The measured results show the excellent transmission characteristics.

The main purpose of this study is to design and develop the information display device for power conditioning system of photovoltaic power generation system. The function of this device is to display the information, communicate with PCS controller and store the special information. The developed device is tested to verify the performance and experimental results show the excellent performance. An actual running test is being carried out to verify the reliability of the device including PCS by applying it to 10kW level photovoltaic power generation system established in Ulsan College.

Recently, because of the depletion of fossil fuels and the environmental pollution by using fossil fuels and harmfulness of atomic power plants. the interests concerning new and renewable energy resources are rising increasingly. And of all new and renewable energy sources the PV generation systems are recognized as the most useful and desirable renewable energy source in allowance for installation conditions. In this development, the 3kWp photovoltaic power generation system is realized to verify the performance of the 3kWp PCS developed by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. (HHI). The photovoltaic array used in this system is composed of 60 modules of 50Wp capacity. The developed system is tested as procedures and items of test regulation recognized by governmen and the experimental results show the excellent electrical characteristics. Now, the 3kWp PCS developed is installed in the PV model house built in HHI plant and is being tested for practical use commercialization.
