An Ultra-sonic aircraft uses vacant spaces as fuel tanks in the fuselage and wings. In order to exchange and repair the components in the fuel tanks, many access doors are placed on the cover of fuel tank skin. The critical damage of access doors have been reported by repeated installation/removal, human error, and careless handling. This paper deals with repair procedure of the access door with critical damage via various investigations. Also, the repair process includes masking and anodizing step in order to prevent change of paint color and achieve the high level corrosion resistance. The performance of access door repaired by proposed procedure was verified by test of corrosion, adhesion, coating weight and leakage. The results shows the repair procedure can be recover performance of the access door with critical damaged.
