다중반응치 자료에 대한 순차적 BIPLOT활용에 대한 연구

반응표면분석에서 다반응값의 최적화 문제는 단반응값 최적화문제보다 복잡하다. 이런 다반응값 문제에서 반응변수들이나 설명변수 상호간의 관계나 중요성 등을 평가하는 것은 중요하다. 이러한 평가를 위하여 biplot를 이용할 수 있는데, 1차 회귀모형이 적합치 않은 경 우, 2차 회귀모형을 위한 순차적 실험계획을 이용하여 2차 회귀 모형에 대응되는 biplot를 그려 선형 및 비선형효과를 알 수 없게 된다. The analysis of data from a multiresponse experiment requires careful consideration of the multivariate nature of the data. In a multiresponse sitation, the optimization problem is more complex than in the single response case. The biplot is a graphical tool which make the analyst to understand the correlation of the response variables, the relation of the response variables arid the explanatory variables and the relative importance of the explanatory variables. In case of good fitting of the first order model, we can draw the biplot with the first order experimental design. Otherwise, we can make the biplot with the second order experimental design by adding other experimental points.

금융시계열자료를 이용한 원주율값 π의 추정

원주율 π는 임의의 원의 지름에 대한 둘레의 비로 정의되며 상수값을 갖는다. 이 값은 무리수이며 초월수로서 고대로부터 좀 더 정확한 값을 구하기 위한 수많은 노력이 있어왔다. 특히 확률분야에서는 18세기 Buffon의 바늘문제를 기점으로 확률실험을 통하여 π값을 계산하려는 많은 노력이 있어왔다. 통계분야에서 Chong (2008)은 서로 독립인 이변량표준정규확률분포와 단변량 확률보행과정의 차분이 독립인 정규분포를 따른다는 전제조건하에서 π값을 유도하였다. 본 연구에서는 Buffon의 바늘문제와 정사각형에 내접하는 원의 문제에서 유도된 π값을 확률실험을 통하여 근사값을 구해보며 이값이 실험횟수와 어떤 관계가 있는지 알아본다. 더불어 Chong이 유도한 단변량확률보행과정의 차분에 근거한 π의 일치추정량을 모의실험을 통하여 검증해본다. 나아가 국내외 금융자료를 사용하여 제시된 방법에 의해 계산된 추정값의 수렴여부와 수렴할 경우 극한값과 π의 오차정도를 살펴보고 이를 통하여 효율적시장가설에 대한 설명을 시도한다. The irrational number π is defined as the ratio of circumference of a circle to its radius and always becomes constant. This article does Monte Carlo approximation of its value using the famous Buffon’s needle experiment and shows that its convergence is not always proportional to the sample size. We also do Monte Carlo simulations to see the convergence of the computed π values from the random walk series with independent normal increment. Finally we apply the theoretical derivation to various financial time series data such as KOSPI, stock prices of Korean big firms, global stock indices and major foreign exchange rates. The historical data shows that log transformed data random walk process but most of their first lagged data don’t follow a normal distribution. More importantly the computed value from the ratio of the regression coefficient π tend to converge a constant, unfortunately not π. Using this result we could doubt on the efficient market hypothesis, and relate the degree of the hypothesis with the amount of deviation of the estimated π values.

기초통계학 교육 시 확률에 관한 몇 가지 유용한 사례들

기초통계학 교육 시 확률 부분에 대한 강의는 추측통계학 영역의 시작 부분으로서 학생들이 통계학을 수강할 때 교수 강의를 따라가기 어려워하기 시작하는 부분이다. 기초 통계학 확률부분 강의 시 유용하게 사용할 수 있는 사례들을 제시하고 R을 이용하여 구현하여 보았다. Because the probability education in the elementary statistics course is the starting part of the inferential statistics, it is hard to follow the lecture for undergraduate students. In this paper, we suggest the useful cases for the probability education in the elementary statistics course and give the corresponding R scripts.

일변량 및 이변량 자료에 대하여 특이값의 영향을 평가하기 위한 그래픽 방법

통계자료분석 시 데이터에 특이값이 존재하면 이 특이값이 자료분석을 위한 여러 가지 측도들을 크게 왜곡시킨다. 우리는 특이값의 영향을 평가하기 위한 도구로서 간단한 그림도구인 민들레꽃씨 그림을 제안할 수 있다. 평균-분산 민들레꽃씨 그림은 자료 각각에 대하여 가중치를 1에서 0으로 변화시켜가며 구한 가중산술평균과 가중분산을 연결한 그림이고 공분산-상관계수 민들레꽃씨 그림은 자료 각각에 대하여 가중치를 1에서 0으로 변화시켜가며 구한 가중공분산과 가중상관계수를 연결한 그림이다. 이러한 그림도구는 학부생들을 위한 기초통계학 교수 시 유용하게 쓰일 수 있다. Outliers distort many measures for data analysis. We can propose dandelion seed plot as a graphical tool for evaluating the effect of outliers in one-and two-variate data. We can draw mean-variance dandelion seed plots using linked curves which are made by changing weights from 1 to 0 for each datum. Similarly we can also draw covariance-correlation-coefficient dandelion seed plots. This graphical method can be a useful tool for elementary statistics education in college.

파이썬 중심 통계공학 교육

통계공학(statistical engineering)은 크게 3가지 파트인 실험계획법, 품질관리/품질경영, 신뢰성공학으로 구성된다. 이 3가지 파트는 일반적인 통계분야와는 구분되는 독특한 영역을 이루고 있다. 그러나 넓게 보면 통계공학은 기본도메인, 중요 도메인, 고급 도메인 3개의 도메인으로 나눌 수 있다. Python은 무료로 개방되어 있는 패키지로서 기계학습에 초점이 맞추어져 있으나 통계모형, 통계 계산 및 통계 그래픽 관련 함수들도 다량 존재한다. 우리는 이러한 Python 패키지를 통계공학을 위한 기본 통계패키지로 유용하게 사용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기본 도메인과 중요도메인을 중심으로 Python 라이브러리들 사이의 상호 의존구조를 살펴봄으로써 어떠한 라이브러리들이 중요한 역할을 하며 중요 Python 함수들은 어떠한 함수들이 있는지를 정리해보고자 한다.

기초통계학 추측통계영역 교육시 R의 활용에 대한 연구

대학교 기초통계학 교육 시 우리는 통계패키지로서 R을 사용할 수 있다. R은 대화식 처리방식을 따르기 때문에 실행결과를 즉시 볼 수 있다. 또한 R에서의 그래픽스는 아주 강력하다. 그리고 가장 큰 장점은 R의 사용이 무료라는 것이다. 이러한 많은 장점을 갖고 있는 R을 대학교 기초통계교육 현장에서 사용하는 표준 통계패키지로서 고려할 필요가 있다 본 논문은 기초통계학 내용 중 추측통계 영역을 대상으로 R의 활용에 대하여 기술하고자 한다. Abstract We can use R package as a statistical package on the statistical education for college students. R is an interactive mode package and graphical presentation tools are powerful in R. The greatest advantage is that R is a general public license package. We need to consider R package as a standard statistical package on the statistical education for college students. We can consider the applications of R for inferential statistics in elementary statistics course.

불완비블록계획법을 평가하기 위한 λ행렬

발생행렬은 블완비블럭계획법을 나타내는 좋은 도구이나 우리가 발생행렬을 이용하여 관심의 대상인 블완비블럭계획법이 균형불완비블럭계획법이 되는 지를 알기는 충분하지 않다. 그래서 필요한 수단이 구조행렬이다. 불완비블럭계획법을 평가하기 위한 또 다른 수단으로서 우리는 확장발생행렬과 ${\lambda}$행렬을 제안할 수 있다. 확장발생행렬과 ${\lambda}$행렬을 통하여 우리는 관심의 대상인 블완비블럭계획법이 균형불완비블럭계획법이 되는 지를 명확히 밝힐 수가 있고, 그 패턴도 상세히 파악할 수 있게 된다. Incidence matrix is a useful tool for presenting incomplete block designs; however, it is inadequate to use only an incidence matrix in examining whether a certain incomplete block design becomes a balanced incomplete block design or not. We can use a structural matrix as a useful tool to show whether a certain incomplete block design becomes a balanced incomplete block design or not. We propose an augmented incidence matrix and ${\lambda}$ matrix as another tools for evaluating incomplete block designs. Through the augmented incidenc matrix and ${\lambda}$ matrix, we can ascertain whether a certain incomplete block design becomes a balance incomplete block design or not.

사회연결망분석을 이용한 확률분포들의 이용빈도 구조에 대한 연구

본 논문에서 포털사이트의 정보를 이용한 사회연결망분석을 통하여 통계학 책에서 주로 언급되는 확률분포들의 종류와 쓰임새에 대한 설명이 일상생활에서 언급되는 확률분포들과 어떤 관계가 있는 지 알아본다. 이를 통하여 우리들의 일상생활을 염두에 둘 때 통계학 책에서 강조하여야 할 확률분포들에 대하여 알아본다. Through social network analysis using portal site information, we study the relation of the probability distributions that appear in statistics textbooks with probability distributions that appear in daily life. Based on daily life, we discuss probability distributions that must be emphasized in frequent use.

블럭효과를 구별할 수 있는 직교스도쿠방격법

스도쿠는 라틴방격법를 기반으로하는 숫자퍼즐로서 전세계적으로 인기있는 숫자퍼즐이다. Mo와 Xu (2008)는 이 스도쿠의 개념을 이용하여 블럭효과를 구별할 수 있는 스도쿠방격법을 제안하였다. 서로 직교하고 블럭효과를 구별할 수 있는 스도쿠방격법들을 이용하면 우리는 블럭효과를 구별할 수 있는 직교스도쿠방격법을 제안할 수 있다. Sudoku is a famous Latin-square-based number-placement puzzle. Mo and Xu (2008) proposed Sudoku square designs based on the idea of Sudoku. Using several Sudoku square designs which are mutually orthogonal, we can suggest the orthogonal Sudoku square designs with block effect discrimination.

실험계획의 시각화

The lecture of the experimental designs consists of two main part-experimental designs and model analysis. Mostly, the progress of the visualization has been made on a model analysis. As the visualization of experimental designs, we can consider the visualization of Latin squares, supersaturated designs, and balanced incomplete block designs. We can propose the design plots as well as use the scatterplots and the scatterplot matrices for the visualization of experimental designs. Through the visualization of experimental designs, we can use the synergy effect in teaching the lecture of the experimental designs. 실험계획법의 강의내용은 크게 두 개의 파트인 실험계획과 모형분석으로 대별되는데 시각화 작업은 주로 모형분석 중심으로 이루어져 왔다. 실험계획법의 강의내용에 대한 시각화 작업의 일환으로 우리는 실험계획의 시각화를 라틴 방격법의 시각화, 초포화계획법의 시각화, 불완비블럭계획법의 시각화로 나누어 고려하여 볼 수 있다. 실험계획을 시각화하는 작업을 위하여 우리는 계획그림을 제안 할 수 있고 기존의 산점도나 산점도행렬을 사용할 수 있다. 이러한 실험계획의 시각화를 통하여 우리는 이론 중심의 실험계획법 강의에 그림들을 삽입함으로써 실험계획법 수업에서의 시너지효과를 얻을 수 있다.
