Venturi meter is one of the representative flowmeters due to relatively small pressure losses. It has been widely used in fluid engineering applications such as heavy industries and energy plants. This study is aimed to design and fabricate a venturi tube based on the ISO 5167-4 and thus provides a discharge coefficient through an accurate in-situ calibration with the primary method by measuring mass flow rate with the loadcell. Flow rate measured by the venturi flowmeter can be also validated with the values of corresponding in-line reference flowmeters; an electromagnetic flowmeter and Coriolis flowmeter. Additionally, the test uncertainty of flow rate measurement can be revealed to allowable reliability based on ASME PTC 19.1.
