The purpose of this study is to be used for basic materials of its design development to raise the role of leisure wear and activate its market of manufacturer as a research clothing attitude and preference for making adult female swimming suit. Stimulant used in this study is examined as classified into one piece, bikini and wrap style etc referring popular brands of the inside and outside based on swimsuit circulated in domestic market. Coloring stimulant is used as referring color cards of Carvico in italy, which are widely used among its manufacturing companies at present in its analysis. Ones which are the most popular things in markets in pattern and shape are analyzed and selected. And its materials also are chosen in same way. This study is targeted for adult women using indoor/outdoor swimming pools. Questionnaires re-corrected and added through first and second preparing researches have been done in one to one for materials collections. Collecting period is from first August to 20th, 2000. Three hundreds forty eight pieces of questionnaire were totally collected but all 300 pieces of those have been used except for incomplete things. Frequency range was used for examining preferential tendency of age, occupation, swimming pool and the number of times according to studying problems in material analysis and verified after then. Difference verification between preferential style of swimsuit and clothing interest was computed through average and standard deviation, and Anova-oneway was done. In addition, Cronbach's a was used for verification of clothing interesting. The results of this study could be summarized as following; Preferential tendency of swimsuit style showed significant difference according to age, occupation. The young preferred more bikini and the student did basic form of trend style. The basic style of athletic form was more preferred by the professional and housekeeper. Preferential tendency of wrap style also showed significant difference according to the occupation. The preference of wrap style was much higher than any other things in general official workers. In place of logo people mostly preferred small thing around the leg. But The younger preferred one small logo of side line, the older did one big thing around the chest. And students and official workers did small thing of side line. Generally the black and indigo were most preferred regardless of age, occupation, place, the number of times in tendency of color but students more preferred the white swimsuit comparing with other occupations. In preferential tendency of swimsuit pattern and design, one generally preferred no-patterned swimsuit regardless of age, occupation. Students like flower and geometric patterns and most housekeepers and official workers did abstract ones. Common spandex nylon was most preferred in clothing textile but the older group more liked tricot cloth and the group of official worker did mesh or tricot cloth above all.
