The main purpose of this study is to design and develop the grid connected 4㎾ photovoltatic PCS(Power Conditioning System) targeting for Japanese market. To make this task, the development of DC to DC converter, one phase inverter and EMI filters, and the research on connection between inverter and utility line are made. The developed 4㎾ PCS has fully carried out performance verifications and evaluation works and acquired the JET(Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories) certification for safety and performace.

This paper describes the characteristics of two methods about providing information needed for propulsion device control In train The one is to use new way using the communication network for transmission of control Information, the other is traditional way using hardwire connectin. And this paper descnbes the communication interface technique between TCMS(Train Control and Monitoring System) and VVVF inverter system with Loriworks network adapted to SMG line 6 which has been developed With this technique, an inertia load test carried out for the traction control environment and it is expecting a field test at SMG line 6.

This paper describes the transmission method of an information using communication networks between RTU(Remote Terminal Unit) and PCU(Protection and Control System) of the DC switchgear for Light Railway Vehicle. Also the test result carried out in the laboratory was represented. In this test, transmission signal waveform, polling time, response time and request/response frame between RTU and PCU were measured. The field test including the measurements of analog signal and status of the digital logic operation of PCU was conducted in Gyeongsan Test Track.

PV(Photovoltaic) 시스템에서 태양광 모듈의 전압-전류 특성은 일사량 및 온도에 따라 변하므로 태양광 모듈의 동작점이 최대 출력점에 있도록 제어하는 PCS(Power Conditioning System)의 MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) 제어가 매우 중요하다.

The voltage fluctuation is one of grid instability problems caused by a high penetration level of decentralized generating units such as photovoltaic (PV) systems. The reverse load flow by PV systems may lead to a grid voltage fluctuation and increases a risk of overvoltage in times of high solar irradiation. The grid voltage regulation of a PV power conditioning system (PCS) using reactive power is presented in this paper. The influence of reactive power supply by the PV system on the grid voltage is explained and the regulation capability of PCS is discussed. The performance and feasibility of presented method is verified by both simulation and experimental results. The results show that the concept described in this paper can be utilized to keep the grid voltage in its nominal range.
