        가축분의 사료화를 위한 연구 9 . 수집계절 , 수집방법 및 건조방법이 계분의 영양소함량에 미치는 영향

        This experiment was conducted to investigate the changes in chemical composition of dehydrated poultry waste (DPW) as affected by season (spring, summer, autumn, winter), collection intervals (12, 24, 36, 48 hours) and drying process (oven dry, oven dry often solar exposure for I-day, oven dry after solar exposure for 2-day, oven dry after solar exposure for 3-day, oven dry after solar exposure for 4-day). The waste was collected from laying hens of White Leghorn strain at Livestock Experiment Station and College of Agriculture, Seoul National University. Fresh hens excreta was dried in drying even at 80℃ for 24 hours after various preliminary treatment as originally designed. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. Crude protein content of dries poultry waste collected in winter (38.40%) way much higher than that of spring (28.63%), autumn (24.91%) and summer (22.20%). However, no definite; trend by season was found in the contents of crude fat, crude fiber, crude ash and nitrogen free extract (NFE). 2. Although the collection intervals had no effect on the contents of crude fat. crude fiber, crude ash and NFE, the crude protein content of DPW collected at 12 hours interval (30.15%) showed the higher than the at 24 hours (29.62%), 36 hours (27.70%), or 48 hours (27.20%). 3. It was found that the crude protein content of DPW dried in drying oven at 80℃ was analyzed to be 34.45% and that of DPW dried in oven after solar exposure for 1 day, 2 days, 3 days and 4 days was found to be 30.19%, 28.32%, 27.75% respectively. Drying process had no effect on the other chemical components of DPW studies. 4. Present data indicated that the content of crude protein in DPW could best be retained when fresh poultry waste was dried in oven at 80℃ regardless of collection intervals. It was also apparent that nitrogen loss was proportional to the length of collection intervals, even if same method of drying process was used. It appeared that the content of crude protein and fat was more easily affected by season, collection interval and dying method than the other chemical components.

        느타리 버섯 종균의 접종에 의한 볏짚의 사료가치 개선에 관한 연구

        This experiment was carried out in order to investigate the nutritive value of rice straws, which were produced by inoculated with the isolate of Pleurotus Ostreatus SACCARDO. A feeding trial was conducted for 4 months to evaluate the feeding value of either raw rice straw or Pleurotus Ostreatus SACCARDO treated rice straw for growing fattening calves. Eight Korean native steer calves were randomly assigned into 2 groups according to their age and body weight. The obtained results were summarized as follows. 1. The rice straw inoculated with isolate of Pleurotus Ostreatus SACCARDO increased significantly (p$lt;0.01) about 40% in crude protein contents from 3 weeks after the treatments, and increased slightly in crude ash, but crude fat decreased significantly (p$lt;0.05) and the other ingredients showed some decrease in contents. 2. Lignin contents of treated rice straw decreased little by little as the time elapsed but there was no any significant decreases in this experimental period. 3. The treated rice straw was consumed a little less in quantity than raw rice straw. 4. During the experimental period, the average total body weights gain of calves which were fed with the treated rice straw was 92.50㎏, while that of calves fed with raw rice straw was 91.25㎏. 5. As for the amount of feeds required per l㎏ of body weight gain, in treated rice straw plots calves consumed 3.23㎏ of concentrate and 3.82㎏ of treated rice straw and in the raw rice straw plots calves consumed 3.25㎏ of concentrate and 4.22㎏ of raw rice straw, so that a better feed efficiency was showed in the treated straw.

        영계사육에 있어서 Bentonite 와 Zeolite 의 사료적 가치에 관한 연구

        This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects to the gain of body weight, feed consumption, feed efficiency and water content of dropping on the supplement of the Bentonite and Zeolite into broiler diets. For this study, 90 starting cockerel of Starbro strain were divided into 3 treatments and 3 replication complete randomized block design. The experimental period were observed for 5 weeks. The diet of treatments were replaced by the Bentonite and Zeolite on a part (4% level) of concentrates in basal raton. The obtained results were as follows; 1. Gain of body weights by the Bentonite and Zeoite treatments were slightly improved than the control, and there was not shown any difference between the Bentonite and Zeolite. 2. In feed consumption and feed efficiency, there were not statistically significant differences among the treatments. 3. Feed cost per unit gain of body weights were slightly decreased in the treatments of the Bentonite and zeolite, compared to that in the control. 4. Addition of the Bentonite and Zeolite was available to preventing of the wet dropping. As a result of this experiment, it was found that the native Bentonite was available for the Zeolite in the diets of broiler chicken.

        젖소 사육을 위한 조사료의 개발에 관한 연구 ( NH3 가스 처리에 의한 보리짚의 사료가치 개선에 관한 연구 )

        This experiment was conducted to improve the feeding value of barley straw. Straw was tightly packed with. vinyl film and treated four levels of liquid anhydrous ammonia (1%, 3%, 5% and 7% by weight) and stored in the environmental temperatures (from 19 to 28℃) for 1 week, 2 week, 4 weeks and 8 weeks. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. Contents of crude protein was increased with increasing ammonia levels and treatment period, especially, treatment of 5% or more showed almost twice the amount of crude protein. 2. Neutral detergent fiber (NDF) decreased by 10% at 5% and 7% ammonia levels. A little decreases were also recognized in other treatments. The amount of acid detergent fiber (ADF) decreased about 2% only in 5% and 7% treatment. No differences were found in the lignin contents. 3. In vitro organic matter digestibility showed a general tendency of increase, especially, after 8 weeks, all treatments of 3-7% showed increases of more than 12%. 4. Palatability of liquid anhydrous ammonia treated barley straw was good to the dairy cattle. 5. Considering the above results, barley straw treated with 5% liquid anhydrous ammonia for 8 weeks might be considered as satisfactory roughage for dairy cattle.

        사료자원 개발에 관한 연구 ( 효모에 의한 발효우분의 사료화에 관한 연구 )

        As a series of the research for converting animal excreta into feedstuffs, feed substitutes by fermenting cattle waste was processed as follows: Active Dry Yeast and Yellow Koji were purchased at market, from which strains were separated. Dried cattle wastes mixed with same amount of corn flour were boiled with steam, inoculated with Active Dry Yeast and Yellow Koji, fermented at 30℃ for 48 hours and then dried in shade. In order to observe the optimum level of this feed substitute for mixed brans (barley bran and wheat bran was mixed at same rate in weight), 16 heads of rearing fattening piglets (12 of Landrace and 4 of tri-hybrids) were fed 4 different levels of experimental feed, such as 0, 10, 20 and 30 % by weight, for 4 months. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. Active Dry Yeast was classified as Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Yellow Koji as Aspergillus oryzae. 2. One gram of experimental feed was contained 5 to 6 × 10^9 cells of yeast. 3. Comparing the contents of raw cattle waste, the fermented experimental feed was shown increasing value of crude protein, crude fiber and crude ash while nitrogen free extract was decreased. 4. Fermented cattle waste contained more amino acid than that of raw material, especially lysine, methionine, histidine and arginine were doubled. 5. The weight of raw material was reduced by 5 - 6% during the process of fermentation. 6. During the first half period of fattening, substitution with experimental feed showed no bad effects upon fattening up to 30%. However 20 or 30% substitution of experimental feed showed remarkable decreasing value of body weight gain (p$lt;0.01) during the later half period of fattening. 7. No significance difference was observed in the amount of feed intake among the experimental lots. This seem to he that the fermented cattle waste had fair palatability for pig. 8. 10% substitution of experimental feed was observed better feed efficiency than that of control, bat 20% or 30% substitution was worse than control. Considering the above results, the fermented cattle waste could be substituted for various bran during the first period of fattening up to 30%, and later half period by 10%.

        표고 재배(栽培) 폐재(廢材)의 사료화(飼料化)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)

        In order to determine the feeding value of t:1e waste wood of Lentinus eddodes, the waste wood was milled and treated with $Ca(OH)_2$ and cellulase, then raw waste wood and the treated waste wood were fed to broiler chicken and Korean native goates. The results obtained were as follows; 1. The chemical composition of the waste wood was c. protein 2.26%. c. fat 2.57%. c. fiber 44.60 and c. ash 5.58%. No differences were detected between the raw waste wood and $Ca(OH)_2$ or cellulase treated waste wood in chemical composition. 2. In amino acid composition. no cystine and methionine was showed, but trace amount of Vitamin A, $B_1$, and $B_2$, and cholin chloride were detected. 3. Trichoderma viride SANK. No. 16374 was used to decompose the cellulose. 4. In broiler performance, when waste wood meal was subsituted for 5% wheat bran, no adverse effect was showed on weight gain, feed in take and feed efficiency. But $Ca(OH)_2$ and cellulase treated waste wood meal could be subsituted for 8% wheat bran. 5. In Korean native goat performance, feeding waste wood meal subsituted by 50% various bran (25% defatted rice bran and 25% barley bran) had no adverse effect on growth and feed efficiency. 6. Considering the above results, though the waste wood meal could be replaced to part of various bran, there was a bottle-neck to process the waste wood. The waste wood of Lentinus edodes was little feeding value on bed of ruminant.

        가축분의 사료화를 위한 연구 7 . 부로일러 사료에 있어서 건조계분에 의한 강부류 및 박류 대치시험

        This experiment was conducted to determine the using level of dried poultry waste(DPW) in broiler rations, employing 360 broiler chicks of Shaver strain for 8 week. In this experiment, 0, 4, 8, 12% of wheat bran and 0, 3, 6, 9% of sesame oil meal were replaced by DPW. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. In the body weight gains of chicks, there were no statistical differences among treatments. Up to 12% wheat bran and 9 % sesame oil meal could be replaced by DPW with no adverse effect on the growth rate. 2. There were no statistical differences in feed consumption and feed efficiency among treatments. 3. No statistical differences were found in nutrients utilizability among treatments. 4. Utilizability of dry matter and total carbohydrate of DPW itself were low as 30.34% and 22.32%, respectively. It is concluded that less than 8 % of wheat bran or 6 % of sesame oil meal could be replaced by DPW in the rations of broiler-type chick.

        한우비육에 관한 연구 2 . 방목시 Hexestrol Dicaprylate 처리가 Aberdeen Angus (♂) × 한우 (♀) 거세우의 비육에 미치는 효과

        The effect of hexestrol dicaprylate implantation on the rate of gain of Aberdeen Angus(♂)×Korean native cattle (♀) F₁ steers were studied. Three steers were implanted with 100㎎ of hexestrol dicaprylate and 3 steers was not treated. All steers grazed native pasture with feeding supplements for 105 days. The average daily gain of the hexestrol implanted steers were more by 9.5% than that of the controls. However, there was no significant difference in daily gain between the groups. The daily gain in the present study were found to be less than that of the young bulls of Kim, et al. (1971). No undesirable side-effects such as development of mammary gland resulted from hexestrol implantation.

        성장호르몬이 쥐의 지방조직의 지방합성에 미치는 영향

        The current study was undertaken to determine the effects of porcine growth hormone (pGH) administration on lipogenesis in rats. Growing male rats were injected (SC) with either pGH (1 ㎎/head) or bicarbonate buffer for 14 days. After last injection, rats were killed and epididymal adipose tissues were removed and sliced. Sliced tissues were incubated for one hour in KRB buffer containing various concentrations of porcine insulin and C^(14)-glucose. Lipogenesis, determined as glucose conversion to total lipids, was significanlay (P◎0.05) decreased in pGH - treated rats.
