We have limitted the transfer power to capital area below a certain level which is called "The Capital Area Transfer Power Limit", and calculated on every Thursday for the application next week This level is very important in our network operation, bacause if this level is not set properly, our power network can be fallen under great danger in case d a fault among the transfer power line. But the calculation procedure for the limit level is so complicated and iterative that it made us spend much time and do much work. So, when a sudden trip of the related facility to the related facility to the limit level we can't recalculate the limit level fast enough And this can drop our network reliablity below our standards, therefore our network can be dangerous. To avoid this kind of problems, we have figured out a method to calculate simply the limit level. That method uses the index related to the level We think thus method can make short of the calculation procedures for the level This paper deals with the simplified metod for the calculation of the level limit.

New building, reinforcement, maintenance and test of power equipments are always necessary in a power system. Our power system is getting old and the total power capacity is also getting large, so power equipment outages are getting often. Power euipment outages make less margine for a stable condition of a power system operation. Therefore, through overviews and countermeasures against the outage should be made in order to be in a stable operational conditions during the outage. We have too many outages over 300 per month in our power system. So, we can't have enough time to study our power system and to make countermeasures without a helping program. This program is designed to give various and appropriate informations necessary for an outage scheduling. By applying this program, we can raise the job efficiency high and spare the time spent. So we can afford to do through system studies and make good countermeasures. I think this program can contribute greately to power system stable operation.

주파수는 발전기 조속기와 전력거래소 EMS AGC의 협조제어 체계가 적절하여야 안정적인 운영이 가능하며, 과다한 주파수 조정은 경제급전을 저해함은 물론 발전기의 수명단축을 초래하기 때문에 AGC 최적튜닝을 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 ‘07년도에 거래소 계통운영처에서 수행한 AGC 제어 파라미터 튜닝기법 및 효과에 대해 논하고 있으며, 학계는 물론 동종업계에 AGC 관련 기술개발시 업무추진에 도움이 되었으면 한다. Co-optimization of Gen. Speed Governor & AGC are essential to control proper Frequency control & Economic Dispatch. Improper AGC Control result in the decrease of Electricity frequency Quality & Generator Life cycle by over-regulating each Generator. This paper presents a number of AGC Area/PLC parameter tuning technique & better performance results. This optimal tuning was studied & implemented by System Operation Dept, Korea Power Exchange in 2007
