Vol.17 No.1

For this study, the stratified multistage random sampling method was used. The target population was limited to college students who are enrolled in universities in Seoul, Gyungi and Choongcheung provinces.A survey was sent to 1750 college students. Out of a total of 1551 surveys returned(88.6%), 26 respondents were excluded from statistical analysis for either their incomplete responses or unreliable answers. The final 1525 responses(87.1%) were analyzed for this study. The major findings of this study were as follows.First, multiple intelligence and school environments explained about 20 percent of college students' ego-identity. Between these variables, multiple intelligences has been shown to be a greater factor in explaining ego-identy than school environments. Second, multiple intelligences, school environments, and ego-identity explained about 43 percent of college students' career decision levels. Among these variables, ego-identity has been shown to be a greater factor in explaining career decision levels than multiple intelligences and school environments.Third, multiple intelligences, school environments, and ego-identity variables had effects on career decision levels, through six direct and indirect paths. These variables explained 43 percent of career decision levels within the college students. The multiple intelligences and the school environments which are exogenous variables, had direct effects on career decision levels. these variables had indirect effects on career decision levels through ego-identity.

Vol.9 No.-

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between career decision levels and ego-identity as well as subordinate variables of multiple intelligence. First of all, the stratified multistage random sampling method was used for this study. The population of this study was limited to college students who are enrolled in 18 universities in Seoul, Gyungi, and Choongcheung provinces. Eight universities in Seoul, five in Gyungi, and five in Choongcheung provinces, all of which students were 1525, were asked to respond or answer the surveys. The research was composed of 78 questions about 5 among 7 subordinate variables of multiple intelligence, 18 about career decision levels, and 48 about ego-identity. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, male students showed higher mean in the bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, spatial intelligence than female students; while female students showed higher levels in musical intelligence than male ones. There were no differences between male students and female ones in linguistic intelligence, career decision levels, and ego-identity. Besides, students in the humanities were higher than those majoring in the natural sciences in regard to musical intelligence, liguistic intelligence, career decision levels, and ego-identity; while students in the natural sciences had higher logical-mathematical and spatial intelligence than that of the students in the humanities. Second, there was significant and positive correlation (p<.001) between career decision levels and ego-identity as well as multiple intelligence. These variables explained 53 percent or so of ego-identity. Third, the result of the one way ANOVA showed that the students with higher multiple intelligences had higher career decision levels and ego-identities.

Vol.24 No.4

The purpose of this study is to examine the path in which the faith, stress, anxiety and social support of college students have influence on career decision levels by using ego-identity as an intermediate variable. The population of the study was limited to 228 Christian students at a university in Seoul and 2 universities in Kyonggido. The collected data were done by SPSS Win 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 statistical programs. The findings of the study are as follows. First, there was significantly positive and negative correlation among the variables of faith, stress, anxiety, social support, ego-identity, and career decision levels. Second, faith, stress, anxiety, and social support have improved career decision levels by using ego-identity as a parameter. Third, faith, stress, anxiety, social support, and ego-identity had direct & indirect effects on career decision levels. Among several paths the biggest effects were in the paths of anxiety, ego-identity and career decision levels, followed by faith, ego-identity, and career decision levels. Career decision levels would be improved if ego-identity were established with stress & anxiety having negative influence reduced and with faith & social support raised

The final 1525 responses(87.1%) were analyzed for this study. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, in terms of gender, there are statistically significant differences in musical intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligences, spatial intelligence, mathematical-linguistic intelligence, and school environments. Male students showed higher results in the bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, spatial intelligence, linguistic intelligence, and school environment than female students; while female students showed higher levels in musical intelligence. There are no significant differences in the career decision levels and ego-identities according to gender. In regards to students' majors, there are significant differences in career decision levels and ego-identity. Students concentrating in the humanities were higher than those majoring in the natural sciences in regard to career decision levels and ego-identity. Students in the humanities had higher musical and linguistic intelligence, while students in the natural sciences had higher logical-mathematical, and spatial intelligence. Second, multiple intelligence and school environments explained about 20 percent of college students' ego-identity. Between these variables, multiple intelligences has been shown to be a greater factor in explaining ego-identy than school environments. These variables explained 43 percent of career decision levels within the college students. The multiple intelligences and the school environments which are exogenous variables, had direct effects on career decision levels.
