본 연구는 한국과 일본의 대표적인 과학기술정보센터인 KISTI와 JST의 과학기술정보를 공유 활용할 수 있도록 디지털도서관모형을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 디지털도서관의 개념, 구성 요소를 포함한 프레임웍과 기술 요소를 살펴보았으며, 협력 기반 디지털도서관의 사례를 조사 분석하여 최근 디지털도서관 협력의 특징을 고찰하였다. 제안된 디지털도서관 모형은 단계적으로 협력의 범위를 확장하는 모형으로, 대상 자원의 협력 및 공유 가능성에 따라 데이터의 직접 교환과 분산검색을 병행하며 메타데이터로부터 원문으로 자연스럽게 연결하는 방안이 포함되어 있다. 제안된 모형은 다른 분야나 타 기관과의 협력에서도 적용 가능할 것이다. This study was to build a collaborative digital library model between KSTI and JST for sharing science and technology information created in Korea and Japan. For this study, digital library framework, it's main concepts and widely-used digital library technologies were investigated. And also, best practices of collaborative digital library were surveyed to characterize collaborative digital library trends. Collaborative Sci-Tech digital library model proposed in this study can be applied in real environment and expanded into other institutions and/or subject areas.

서평을 수집하여 도서관 홈페이지를 통해 제공하는 방안에 대하여 고찰하였다. 제안하는 서평 제공 서비스는, 도서관 홈페이지 자료 검색 결과에서 바로 서평을 확인하게 함으로써, 이용자가 도서관을 방문하여 실물을 직접 살펴보기 전에 해당 자료가 자신이 원하는 자료와 일치하는지 비슷한 주제의 다른 자료와는 어떻게 다른지 판단할 수 있게 한다. 또한 이용자자신이 서평을 입력할 수 있게 하여 이용자 사이의 의견 교환 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

기관 레포지터리 활성화를 위한 메타데이터의 확장 방안 연구

국내 대표적인 기관 레포지터리인 dCollection에서 다양한 유형의 학술자원을 기술할 수 있도록 SOMS 메타데이터의 확장안을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 국내외 기관 레포지터리의 동향을 메타데이터와 관련된 측면에서 조사하였으며, DSpace를 개발 운영하고 있는 MIT와 MIT 메타데이터를 확장해 사용하는 브뤽셀 대학의 DISpace 메타데이터를 분석하고 SOMS에서 확장이 필요한 요소를 도출하였다. 제안된 SOMS는 다양한 유형의 자원을 기술하고, 기관 내 연구업적정보시스템과 연계하여 수집된 데이터를 보다 더 상세하게 기술할 수 있을 것이다. This study was carried out for extension of SOMS as metadata of KERIS dCollection to activate IR(institutional repository), which was a new media for academic communication. For this study, current trends of foreign IR were surveyed, and MIT Dspace metadata and Bruxel DISpace metadata were analyzed to apply to SOMS. New SOMS suggested in this study will be more flexible to describe various materials, and to import and/or export academic research performance metadata.

대학 학술정보 관리를 위한 오픈 액세스 기반 기관 레포지터리 운영방안 연구

As circumstances of scholarly communication have been changed over time, there is a growing interest among academic institutions in collecting, preserving, and creating value-added services from digital contents being created by members of the academic community. The purpose of this study is to build an open access based Institutional Repository(IR) in the university for scholarly communication. For this study, this paper analyzes the example of, and makes a full range of process and implementation plan, and then suggests a realistic model of IR which is for dissertations/theses, academic journals, working papers, etc. The intellectual property right issues related to IR are also discussed. 최근 국내외에서는 저널 구독 비용의 증가와 도서관 예산의 삭감, 그리고 대학 및 국가 지식관리의 필요성 등이 제기되면서 누구나 자유롭게 접근할 수 있는 온라인 액세스 기반의 기관 레포지터리 시스템을 도입하려는 시도가 활발하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학학술정보 관리를 위한 온라인 액세스 기반의 기관 레포지터리 서비스 운영방안을 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해서 개별기관에서의 기관 레포지터리 서비스 사례를 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 전체 운영 단계 및 운영방안을 마련한 후, 학위논문, 교내 간행물, 교내 학술행사, 학술지 논문/연구보고서 등에 적용할 수 있는 현실적인 운영방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이외에 기관 레포지터리 운영시 발생할 수 있는 지적재산권 사항을 살펴보았다.

This study is to develop model for collaborative digital reference service which transfer questions and answers between collaborative libraries via formal protocol. For collaboration, interoperability of reference transaction must be needed. Therefore, for seamless and systematic collaborative digital reference service, this model has shown transaction for processing of questions and answers, and standard formats for exchange and knowledge base of question and answer pairs, with collaboratively building internet reference resources and sharing reference database. This model will enhance digital reference service locally and networked digital reference. 본고는 국내 환경에서 체계적인 협력참고서비스를 구축하기 위한 모형 개발에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위해 협력참고서비스 질의 응답 처리과정, 처리시 질의·응답 교환용 포맷과 지식베이스 구축용 포맷을 제시하였다. 또한 온라인참고정보원의 공동구축과 온라인 및 책자형태의 참고자료에 대한 공동활용도 제안하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 협력참고서비스의 처리과정을 체계화하고 상호 협력할 수 있는 기반을 마련할 수 있을 것이다.
