Competition in telecommunications field brings about change in attitudes toward technology development. It is no longer the case that technology development itself has merits but that technology development should be considered in terms of its economic concepts such as the cost-effectiveness concept. Techno-Economic study intend to incorporate the idea of economic efficiency into technology development and management so that economic potential of technologies is maximized. This paper categorizes the contents of techno-economic study in telecommunications and information technologies and suggests a framework of techno-economic study based on technology lifecycle and decision makers.
MnS / 카본나노튜브 복합체의 합성과 리튬 전기화학적 거동

A simple synthetic process is demonstrated for the preparation of MnS/carbon nanotube (CNT) composites for Li ion battery electrodes. CNTs were initially treated using a strong acid solution to generate carboxylate ions ($-COO^-$) on their surfaces. The MnS/CNT composites were synthesized by a polyvinyl-pyrrolidone-assisted hydrothermal method in the presence of as-functionalized CNTs. The phase and morphology of the MnS/CNT composites and pure MnS microspheres were characterized using X-ray diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. Furthermore, the Li electroactivity levels of the MnS/CNT composites and MnS microspheres were investigated using cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic cycling. The MnS/CNT composite electrodes showed higher specific capacities exceeding 365 $mA\;h\;g^{-1}$ at a C/10 current rate and enhanced cyclic performance compared to pure MnS microspheres.
다이어트젤과 전기근육자극기가 허리둘레 감소에 미치는 영향

바쁜 일상 속에서 신체 활동량의 감소와 식생활의 서구화 등으로 인한 복부 비만의 발생률이 높아지고 있다. 따라서 체형 관리에 대한 욕구를 충족시키기 위해 시간 대비 고 효율의 관리 프로그램이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 전기근육자극요법 (electric muscle stimulation therapy)을 활용하여 다이어트젤 (슬리밍 화장품)과의 복합사용에 의하여 허리둘레 및 체지방량 (또는 복부의 지방)를 감소 효과를 촉진시켰 다. 연구 대상자는 20대 성인 남녀로 다이어트젤을 허리 부위에 단순 도포를 한 후, 그 위에 EMS를 착용 하여 기상 후와 취침 전에 1일 2회 20분간 마사지를 실시하였다. 실험 기간은 2주 동안 실시되었다. 지방 분해 촉진 효과는 비 조영 CT를 활용하여 피하지방의 감소에 대한 관찰이 되었으며, 이와 함께 허리둘레와 체지방량 측정으로 확인되었다. 결론적으로 개발된 EMS와 다이어트젤의 동시 사용 프로그램은 약 3 cm (p<.001)의 허리둘레 감소와 약 1 kg (p<.01)의 체지방량 감소를 나타내어 허리라인 관리에 탁월한 효과가 있음을 입증하였다. 이는 EMS의 활용이 근육 자극에 의한 마사지 효과를 나타내며 다이어트젤의 흡수를 도와 지방 분해를 촉진시키는 역할을 하는 것으로 사료된다. Abdominal obesity is increasing due to a decrease in physical activity and westernization of diet in busy daily life. Therefore, in order to satisfy the desire for body shape management, a management program with high efficiency versus time is needed. In this study, the diet-gel (i.e., slimming cosmetics) with the electrical muscle stimulation therapy was used to promote the effect of reducing waist circumference and body fat mass (or abdominal fat). For men and women in their twenties, the subjects simply applied diet-gel to their waist, wore EMS, and massaged for 20 minutes twice a day after waking up and before going to sleep. The experiment period was carried out for 2 weeks. The reduction of subcutaneous fat was observed using non-contrast CT, and it was confirmed by measuring waist circumference and body fat mass. In conclusion, the developed EMS and diet-gel combination program showed excellent waist management effects by reducing waist circumference by about 3 cm (p<0.001) and body fat mass by about 1 kg (p<0.01). This result suggests that the use of EMS shows a massage effect by muscle stimulation, and plays a role in promoting fat decomposition by helping the absorption of diet gel.
고성능 페로브스카이트 태양전지를 위한 산화주석 전자수송 층 최신 연구동향

In recent years, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have been considered as a game changer for next- generation photovoltaic industry. A surge of attention originates from unprecedentedly rapid enhancement in power conversion efficiency (PCE) to reach over 25%, being competitive with commercialized silicon solar cells. The charge transporting layer, in particular, an electron transport layer (ETL) is one of the key components for high-performance PSCs. The ETL affords efficient extraction of the photo-generated electrons from the perovskite layer, which are subsequently transferred to transparent conduct oxide electrode. Tin oxide (SnO₂) is one of the most attractive materials for the ETL due to its wide band gap, high optical transmission, high carrier mobility and high chemical stability. Moreover, the facile low temperature deposition process of SnO₂ layer is suitable for mass production as well as versatile applications such as flexible devices. Regardless of excellent intrinsic properties, however, quality of the functional layer and resulting device performance is largely affected by the fabrication process of the material. In this study, we review the studies to utilize the SnO₂ ETL for PSCs by adopting various fabrication processes, ultimately to improve efficiency and stability of the PSCs.
국립수목원 산림박물관 소장 전통 목가구의 연륜연대 및 수종 분석

We present the species and the dendrochronological dates of Korean traditional furniture in Forest Museum Collection of Korea National Arboretum. Seven of thirteen were successfully dated. Chest with a flap door (84-55-1) was dated A. D. 1623. Others dated were cabinet (83-41-1: A. D. 1759), Chest with a turnover door (83-39-1; A. D. 1801), Cabinet with two horizontal section (88-39; A. D. 1843), Rice chest (82-27-3; A. D. 1849), Cabinet with two horizontal section (83-40-2; A. D. 1877), Chest with a flap door (84-50; A. D. 1918). Most of existing cabinets were made in 1800s. The 84-55-1 chest was one of the earliest pieces of furniture in the collections of Korea museums. The furniture is usually composed one species. The major species was Pinus densiflora. Bedside cabinet (83-41-1) and Cabinet with two horizontal section (88-39) were made from Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis). Becasue they were dated by the tree-ring chronology of Mt. Bekdu, the timber of their boards could be from the area of Mt. Bekdu.
보건소 치과위생사의 다문화에 대한 인식도 및 교육 요구

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of dental hygienistsin public health center towards multicultural family and educational needs to provide informationon community oral health programs. Methods : The subjects were 74 recruited from 126 dental hygienists in 14 public dental clinicsin Jeonbuk Province. A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 64 dental hygienists in chargeof dental health care. Data were anlatzed by the statistical package SPSS WIN 12.0. Results : The characteristics of the subjects had no impact on their positive multicultural awareness,and there existed differences by age, rank and period of services in the channel of informationacquisition. They got 3.5 out of five in multicultural awareness showing a positive way. Thetypes of medical services for multicultural family revealed that they provided oral health education,dental checkup services and simple treatment covered by health insurance. Health insuranceaccounted for 15.4 percent of dental services. The obstacles to dental services in multiculturalfamily were communication problems, poor concern for oral health and cultural gaps. They got3.86 out of five points in educational needs for multicultural family who need the dental educationmost. The multicultural family showed the higher score in every question. Conclusions : Public health center dental clinics should help dental hygienists to acquireinformation on multicultural family. Public health center should provide the easy access way ofdental health checkup for the multicultural family.
스팀 트레이싱 시스템 사양 선정 GUI 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구

A graphical user interface (GUI) program for steam tracing system selection was developed by using a theoretical model. We derived the model on the basis of the one-dimensional heat transfer theory of conduction and convection through a composite wall. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and experiments were performed for validation at steam temperatures of 120.4[℃] and 158.9[℃]. The temperature of a pipe’s outer surface obtained through CFD matched well with that predicted by the proposed model for both conditions. By contrast, the experiment results showed a small error at 120.4[℃] and a large error at 158.9[℃] because of the melting of the heat transfer compound and water phase transition. Thus, the steam temperature range of the proposed model is below 120.4[℃].
