The purpose of this paper investigates Jae-Ryoon Park's (1910- ) literary world and history, side by side, his receptiveness of the western poetry and succession of the Korean traditional character. Jae-Ryoon Park wrote many poems and some essays, but nobody studied his literary world deeply, so I begun to study only some poems. Therefore, I will suggest some issues following in this paper: A. The Beginning of a Period (1930-1940) a. Early years, he was not only imagist but also complete intellectualist. Because his early year's poetry standed out image, metaphor, make up among others. b. Also, he had accepted foreign ideas well, and he had prepared return to the farming-first as (KOHYANG TOWHAI) B. Poems of Rising Period (1958-1972) a. This period, he reminds of his feeling on the times and the history, also he had criticized strong the culture and the society. Besides he confirmed meaningless of human and history. b. Next time, he built up his philosophical thoughts about oriental adaptabilism and he found himself in the system of natural order. C. Aftertimes of (JUNSATONGSHIN) (1971-1982) a. This age, he tried to find losting human in the earth and farm, besides he demonstrated that human could not find his life and his being out of farmer's working. b. So, his thoughts and his love could to extend into his neighbor and his country, moreover his poetry world standed in the system of oriented philosophical thought. At last, Jae-Ryoon Park's literary worlds and his thoughts are too important in the history of Korean poetry. And his literary worlds showed up traditional character of Korean poetry is continued until these days.

The aim of this paper is to analysis the tendency of studies on the Korean literature in America. In America, many scholars wish to know and to study East-Asian culture especially-Korean and Japanese- but they have so little data about that. As for Korean traditional literature, they think it as a imitation of that of Chinese. So, they call it Chinoiseries. But they are also trying to point out differentiate sameness in the oriental hermeneutic community. They also think the 'Sijo' is the most outstanding field among all kinds of Korean literature. Some of modern poetry and short stories in Korean are translated by a lot of native speakers and foreigners, but it is merely a stage of introduction. While almost long stories are hardly translated. For the mature study on the Korean Literature in America, we need some preconditions as following: First of all, many complex Korean and foreign translators are need who have the bilingual ability and literary talent. We have to seek and train proper persons more actively. Second one is standard mode of expression for the title and author's name what we need. And also individual translations are caused of confusion about them because of different expression of one man or same literary work. Finally, I would like to suggest that these works have to be translated according to more systematic and well formed plan. Especially the inter analyzing Korean literature is that we need to establish a foundation to control all these works.

This thesis is a consideration of the following effect: 1. that is a property of an argot used by a university student? 2. that consciousness is discovered in that argot? In chapter 1, a distinctive quality of argot's form is considered: 1) An abbreviation of existing word which is endowed with new meaning; this form shows a contrary relationship between existing word's meaning and new argot's meaning. An abbreviation I intened to satirize the older generation or accepted ideas. 2) An abbreviation 11 be made by arbitrary way; This class has interesting pronouncing or a familiar suffix, etc. 3) A metaphorical argot; This class is look seems to be basic type. Besides, these types of phonological diversion, figure and proverb are used. These forms are not intended to keep a matter secret but express some will or the play instinct. In this point, a present argot of university student is different from older generation. And an original function as a secret language looks like to be lost. In chapter Ⅱ, those types of argot's meaning is considered. For example, those are about a learning, a credit, a meeting, a meeting partner, a boy friend, a intersexual relation, an amusement, a luxury items, an outward appearance, a human nature, etc. In chapter Ⅲ, a consciousness of a university woman is considered. 1) Outwardly, they interpret in the negative and criticize all existing concepts. For example, a good appearance, a model student and gentle human nature are their target of criticism. But on the other hand, they blame bad-looking appearance, a backward pupil and a wicked man, too. This peculiarity can be interpreted as following; Fundamentally, they endow a existing ideas with the absolutely value. 2) They satirize an older generation and society. This peculiarity can be interpreted as following; They confirm their own purity and life different from older generation and feel a self-complacency. Like these, an argot in university students can recover their pure function useful elements, in spite of a worry that our languag change and meaning change.
