본 논문은 신약학회 창립 50주년을 맞아 그 간의 신약학자들의 활동사를 기록한 것이다. 먼저, 학회장을 지낸 인물들을 중심으로 한국 신약학의 발전을 위한 그들의 주요 업적을 기술하려고 했다. 다음으로, 지난 50년의 학회의 주요 업적으로 신약논단의 한국 연구재단 등재, 해외학자들과의 교류, 신약학자들 간의 교류의 활성화, 총서 출판, 최근의 활발한 학문 활동 등을 들었다. 마지막 부분은 분야별 활동사를 다룬 것이다. 해외에서 활동하는 학자들, 목회와 기관에서 활동하는 학자들, 대학 행정을 맡은 학자들, 여성 학자들, 그 외 중요한 몇 가지 통계를 제시하였다. 이러한 활동사는 독자들로 하여금 한국 신약학회의 발전의 이면을 이해하고 현황을 파악하는데 기여할 것이다. This study attempts to investigate the history of the activities of Korean New Testament scholars for the last 50 years. First, it traces the activities of the presidents of the New Testament Society of Korea. Next, it suggests 5 most significant events in the society during last 50 years. Finally, it deals with the activities of the NT scholars in various areas such as those who work in the foreign institutions, those who work both in the pastoral ministries and in the church institutions, and those who work in the church administrations. The activities of women scholars are also dealt with. Also it gives several important data with regard to the society. This study, accordingly, will contribute to the better understanding of the development of the society.
