Preheating widenes the cladding width so that the dilution can be distinguished from other part. This indicates the solidity of adherence. The Vickers hardness is 700-800Hv at clad surface. It is seven times higher than substrate. In the case of NiCrSiB/KS D 6008. the optimal condition is 2.8kW of laser power. 2.0m/min of beam travel speed. 0.6g/sec of powder feed rate. And 0.1kg/cm² of shielding gas pressure.<br/>
