        오늘의 社會 科學이 急進的으로 變化하고 있는 이때 따라서 敎育의 內容과 方法도 科學化되어야 하며 學生의 生活 嚮導도 科學的 근거 위에서 추진되어야 할 것이다. 心身 發達이 왕성한 靑少年들에게 보다 信賴性이 있는 指導 助言을 하지 않으면 바람직한 方向으로 그 成長을 바라볼 수 없다. 그러기 위해서는 敎育者는 먼저 被敎育者들에게 生育史를 알고 個人을 잘 把握하여 現在와 未來를 發見할 수 있는 民主的 市民을 育成시킨다. 또한 集團的 活動에 臨할 수 있는 能力을 배양한다. 그 目的 達成을 爲하여는 個個人을 잘 把握하고 信賴性 있는 各種의 標準化 檢査 및 Teacher made test를 實施하고 그 結果의 資料를 正確하게 해석하고 처리하여 充分히 活用하여야 한다. 이 活用 方法에는 Counselor뿐 아니라 全 敎職者는 協助가 되어야 被敎育者는 여기에 적극 適應할 수 있게 하는 길이다. Today social science is developing rapidly, and the educational method and content must gain scientific ground; and the guidance of student life should be treated according to the scientific basis. We can not expect their successful growth, if we do not offer our appropriate guiding and advice to the students who are getting rapid development in their bodies and minds. Therefore we are obliged to know their personal history and their individual situation, lead them as democratic citizens who are able to know the present and future of mankind, give them the ability that can be adapted to the group activities. In order to achieve this aim, we should be acquainted with the detail of their private lives, carry out all the reliable standardization tests and teacher made tests. The materials of these results are to be understood correctly and treated and utilized fully. That we may succeed in those methods, not only counselors but all the faculty members must cooperate and lead the students to be adapted to this purpose.

        1. 學業敎育課程의 統制는 어느 社會에 있어서나 成人들이 學業敎育에 가장 높은 理想을 기대하면서도 다른 한편으로는 그들의 不合理한 固定觀念을 投人하여 그들의 集團當派의 理想에 奉任하도록 强要한다. 2. 美國에 있어서는 敎育內容이 雜多하고 異質的인 사람들로 構成되는 國民의 大部分의 意思에 의해서 決定되나 英ㆍ佛ㆍ蘇에 있어서는 高度의 敎育을 받는 國民의 少數部分에 의해서 決定된다. 3. 프랑스에 있어서는 敎育行政이 嚴格하게 中央集權化되어 있기 때문에 敎育內容의 決定은 實質上 專問家인 "行政官"의 손에 장악되어 있다. 4. 蘇聯에 있어서는 實質的으로는 文敎部長寬이나, 地方長官이 大部分 當員가운데서 選出되기 때문에 間接的인 强制이기는 하지만 蘇聯의 敎育課程은 傳統的 統一的으로 "政治指導者"의 손에 掌握되어 있다. 5. 英國에 있어서는 敎育課程의 決定이 全國的으로 統一的인 敎育課程이 存在하지 않으면서도 전문 교사의 손에 의해 自由의 傳統에 따르면서 神士敎育을 爲한 統一的인 "Liberal Education"이 椎持되고 있다. 6. 大衆의 時代는 大衆의 關必에 優先을 두었고 大衆을 위한 교육 과정으로 움직여 가고 있다. 指導者로서의 知識人, 敎育人의 새로운 役割은 敎育의 機會를 求하고 있는 모든 大衆들에게 助言者로서 그들을 고무하고 용기를 북돋우어 그들을 향상시키지 않으면 않된다. 1. As for the curriculums controlled by the governments of some countries, most adults expect the highest ideal in the school education, while they strongly wish that the curriculum may serve the unreasonable prejudice or interest of the parties or the mass they belong to. 2. In America, the qualities of education are decided by the intention of majority consiting of miscellaneous people, while in England, France, and U.S.S.R. they are decided by the highly educated minority. 3. In France, the educational administration is strictly centralized, there fore the decisions of the important educational matters are in the hands of special administrators. 4. In U.S.S.R. the minister of education and the heads of local administrations, are selected among the members of communists parties, so the curriculums of U.S.S.R. are indirectly in the hands of political leaders. 5. In England there is no generally controlled curriculum, but by the specially trained teachers it has been decided so that it may serve the tradition of liberalism and the so-called liberal education. 6. As now is the age of majority, the interests of majority have the priority, and the curriculums for the benefit of the major people are the current tendency of every country. Accordingly the leaders in this field must give the adequate chance of education to these people and simutancousry should endeavour to advise and inspire them that they can acquire the quality of able and cultivated citizens.

        MicroRNA-22 negatively regulates LPS-induced inflammatory responses by targeting HDAC6 in macrophages

        Dysregulation of histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) can lead to the pathologic states and result in the development of various diseases including cancers and inflammatory diseases. The objective of this study was to elucidate the regulatory role of microRNA-22 (miR-22) in HDAC6-mediated expression of proinflammatory cytokines in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated macrophages. LPS stimulation induced HDAC6 expression, but suppressed miR-22 expression in macrophages, suggesting possible correlation between HDAC6 and miR-22. Luciferase reporter assays revealed that 3’UTR of HDAC6 was a bona fide target site of miR-22. Transfection of miR-22 mimic significantly inhibited LPS-induced HDAC6 expression, while miR-22 inhibitor further increased LPS-induced HDAC6 expression. LPS-induced activation of NF-B and AP-1 was inhibited by miR-22 mimic, but further increased by miR-22 inhibitor. LPS-induced expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-, IL-1, and IL-6 was inhibited by miR-22 mimic, but further increased by miR-22 inhibitor. Taken together, these data provide evidence that miR-22 can downregulate LPS-induced expression of proinflammatory cytokines via suppression of NF-B and AP-1 axis by targeting HDAC6 in macrophages.

        According to the development of society, the principalship has been developed as a professional career us by the expansion of educational opportunity, the complexity of school patterns, and the specialized education. Nowadays, Principal must carry out his dual roles as an administrator and as an educator in dynamic changes of society and education itself. The principal's quality essential to achieve these successful roles can be studied in the aspects of ① professional skills ② general culture and qualification and ③ preparation and training coursed. The major conditions of the principal's quality can be summarized as follows: 1. Professional Skills i) Human Relation Skills: The principal must cooperatively solve the facing problem in school with the staffs concerned within and out of school, feeling consciousness, and should respect for each other ii) Technical Skills of Administration: The principal should manage his office works scientifically, and create a climate to understand each other. iii) Integrative of Conceptional Skills: The principal should be skilled in a self management, a selfanalysis of administrative behavior, and a democratic use of his staffs, He should fulfil his function as an educator in his community and school. 2. General Culture and Qualification i) General Culture: A principal should a. establish his healthy views of life and value b. have a high intelligence, health and sensible thought of times. c. understand the aims of his school d. appreciate students. e. be an earnest seeker after self-development. ii) Qualification: Increasing trends require a master degree or a special course as a minimum back ground for certification as a principal. 3. Preparation and training courses for a principal a. The existing training centers should be increased in number. b. Applicants for these centers should be selected through examinations. c. The time allotment for cultural subjects essentional to the professional skills should be increased in curriculum, and optional courses be introduced. d. The trainee should be supported in time, finace, and office works.

      • 現代社會變化의 特徵과 敎師再敎育의 意義에 關한 考察

        The Contemporary society of an advanced industrial technique is characterized in the accelaration, variety and complicity of the changeful modern Society. It is caused that the explose of knowledge, the flood of informations and the subdivision of Special fields have a lot of shocking on education, which makes not only the subtance and the method of school education but also the purpose of education and the educational philosophy reform widely, In contrast with the changeing aspect and chracter of the future society, I think that a new concept of the school education for the teacher, which is a gist of all the educational process, has to be settled immediately, therefore, through the-service training which can be prepared in a fixed term, teachers are unable to carry out the positive function of education that develops ad creates the social culture of a sudden changing contemporary society. To this purpose I made a study in order to bring light on what kinds of quality and training for the teachers are desinous.

        This survey is based on questinnairs given to the students at Gyeongsang National University during the period from May 22,1972 to May 31, 1972. The subjects were 681 students ranging from freshmen to seniors which consisted of 70.2 percent of the total sutudent enrollment at Gyeongsang National University. The purpose of the survey is to gather some information to solve the problems of the students at Gyeong sang National University through the close examination, analysis and understanding of the problems of the students. According to the survey 50 percent of the students showed dissatisfaction with college life. Moreover 44.4 percent of the students wanted to transfer to another department. It is, therefore, very much desirable to make a further study on the problems and to provide proper guidance for those students with problems. The relationship between professors and students in rather distant. The students want to have frequent out of class diologues with their professors. One third of the students have problems in inter-personal relationship with their friends and professors, Extra-curricular activitities are stagnant. As regards to these problems, the student guidance center should cooperate closely with each individual department at the college. They should take the students' suggestions into consideration. It is necessary to chance the active concern and participation of professors and school administrators in these problems with further study and guidance under the student guidance center for more effective guidance services.
