        한국 제주도 남동부해역에서 첫 출현한 성대과 (양볼락아목), Lepidotrigla longifaciata 자어의 분자동정 및 형태기재

        2020년 5월 제주도 남동부 해역에서 봉고네트로 성대과 자어 1개체 (전장 5.14 mm)가 채집되었다. 본종은 mtDNA COI염기서열 분석을 통해 우리나라에서 처음 보고되는 달재속 1미기록종, Lepidotrigla longifaciata로 확인되었다. 본종의 전기자어의 형태적 특징은 긴 주둥이, 큰 입, 부채 모양의 큰 가슴지느러미를 가지며, 흑색소포는 복강과 목덜미에만 관찰되었다. 우리나라에서 처음 발견된 본종의 신국명으로 ‘긴머리달재’를 제안한다. In May 2020, a single larval specimen (5.14 mm in total length) was collected from the southeastern sea of Jeju Island of Korea using bongo net. The specimen was identified as Lepidotrigla longifaciata based on mitochondrial DNA cytochrome c oxidase subunit I sequences. The morphological traits of the L. longifaciata larva are as follows: a long snout, a large mouth, large fan-shaped pectoral fins, and black melanophores scattered on the abdominal cavity and nape. We propose the new Korean name ‘Gin-meo-ri-dal-jae’ for this species, which was first discovered in Korea.

        한국 남해에서 채집된 둥글넙치과(가자미목) 1미기록종, Crossorhombus azureus 후기자어의 형태기재 및 분자동정

        A single postlarva (9.72 mm in standard length) specimen of Crossorhombus azureus (Alcock, 1889) belonging to the family Bothidae, was collected using a bongo net from the southern sea of Korea on December 10, 2019. This species is characterized by having spines on post basipterygial processes. It has two eyes located at the opposite side in head, which accordingly belongs to pre-metamorphosis stage. Melanophores are distributed on the dorsal and anal fin base on the right side (blind side), which is regarded as a useful identification key distinguishing C. azureus from congeneric species in their postlarval stage. A molecular analysis based on mitochondrial DNA COI sequences showed that our specimen was closely matched to adult C. azureus (K2P distance = 0.017). As there is no Korean name for the genus Crossorhombus in spite of presence of Crossorhombus kobensis and its Korean name “Go-be-dung-geul-neob-chi” in Korea, we proposed a new Korean name “Dung-geul-neob-chi-sog” for the genus Crossorhombus and “Pa-lang-dung-geul-neob-chi” for the species C. azureus.

        통영 연안에서 채집된 감성돔 (Acanthopagrus schlegelii)의 산란시기와 성전환

        본 연구는 연안에 서식하는 감성돔의 산란생태학적 연구를 위해 2020년 2월부터 2021년 1월까지 통영 연안에서 어획된 시료 총 470개체 (가랑이체장 20.5∼50.2 cm)를 대상으로 하였다. 통영에 서식하는 감성돔의 월별 생식소숙도지수 (GSI) 변화를 통해 암수 모두 동일한 양상을 보이며 4∼5월이 산란시기로 추정되었고, 연 1회 산란하는 것으로 확인되었다. 조직학적 검경을 통해 수컷에서 암컷으로 성전환하는 과정을 확인하였으며, 전기자웅동체 (MF)는 20.5∼39.6 cm에서 보였고, 후기자웅동체(FM)는 26.4∼50.2 cm에서 보였다. 난경은 0.02∼0.60mm 범위였으며, 2월에 평균 난경은 0.09mm로 가장 작았고, 8월에 평균 난경은 0.43mm 가장 높았고, 포란수는 277,148 (33.9 cm)∼2,772,421 (34.1 cm)립의 범위를 보였다. This study sought to reveal spawning period and sex inversion of black seabream, Acanthopagrus schlegelii collected off the coast of Tongyeong, Korea. The monthly gonodosomatic index (GSI) showed the same pattern of between both sexes, and it was estimated that black seabream spawned once a year (between April and May). Histological examination revealed the transition from male to female sex, size of fork length bisexual gonad with ovarian (primary hermaphrodite; progress from male to female, MF) was seen at 20.5 to 39.6 cm and bisexual gonad with testicular (post hermaphrodite; female development and Male degeneration, FM) was seen at 26.4 to 50.2 cm. The egg diameters was in the range of 0.02 to 0.60 mm, with the smallest average egg diameter of 0.09 mm in February, the highest average egg diameters of 0.43 mm in August, and the range of fecundity was number of eggs 277,148 (33.9 cm) to 2,772,421 (34.1 cm).

        우리나라 연안해역 난 및 자치어의 분포특성

        The distribution and abundance of fish eggs and larvae were investigated from February to December 2020 along the coastal waters of Korea. The eggs and larvae were identified using the mitochondrial DNA cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (mtDNA COI) and 16s rRNA gene. During the study period, eggs of overall 45 taxa belonging to 26 families were collected and larvae of overall 39 taxa belonging to 23 families were collected. In Yeongil Bay, eggs of Engraulis japonicus, which accounted for 83.9% of the total population, was the most dominant species, followed by Sardinops sagax (4.0%), Repomucenus valenciennei (3.8%) and E. japonicus larvae, which accounted for 34.9% of the total population. These were followed by Sebastiscus marmoratus (31.0%). In Gomso Bay, E. japonicus eggs accounted for 61.7% of the total population, followed by Sillago japonica (14.0%), Johnius grypotus (8.8%) and Pholis fangi larvae, which accounted for 53.5% of the total population, followed by Ammodytes personatus (34.1%). In Jinhae Bay, E. japonicus eggs accounted for 86.0% of the total population, followed by Leiognathus nuchalis (4.1%), Konosirus punctatus (3.7%) and E. japonicus larvae, which accounted for 48.7% of the total population, followed by Parablennius yatabei (21.6%).

        한국산 둥글넙치과 1미기록종, Kamoharaia megastoma

        가자미목 둥글넙치과에 속하는 1개체 (표준체장 113.9 mm)가 제주도 남방 해역에서 저층트롤로 채집되었다. 매우 큰 입을 가지는 본 종은 주상악골의 후단이 눈보다 후방에 위치, 아래턱 전단에는 돌출된 3쌍의 날카로운 송곳니, 구강으로 돌출된 서골 말단부, 검은 가슴지느러미 그리고 무안측에 측선이 없는 특징들로 Kamoharaia megastoma와 잘 일치한다. 따라서 이종은 한국 미기록종으로 국명은 “큰입둥글넙치”로 제안한다. A single bothid specimen (113.9 mm in standard length) was collected by bottom trawl from southern Jejudo Island, Korea. It was easily identified as Kamoharaia megastoma (Kamohara, 1936), based on extremely large mouth. The species is characterized by maxillary extending beyond eyes, three pairs of long curved canines on lower jaw, tip of vomer projecting into mouth cavity, blackish pectoral fin, and blind side without lateral line. We described it as the first record to Korean fish fauna, and proposed the new Korean name, “Keun-ip-dung-geul-neop-chi” for this species.

        봄철 제주 남부해역 난·자치어의 수직 분포

        The vertical distribution and abundance of icthyoplankton in the southern waters of Jeju Island during June 2020 were investigated. Fish eggs and larvae were identified using the mitochondrial DNA cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (mtDNA COI) and the 16S rRNA gene. During this period, fish eggs of 23 taxa belonging to 21 families and larvae of 27 taxa belonging to 25 families were collected. Fish eggs were located mostly from the surface to 30 m depth of the water column. Larvae were located from the surface to 80 m depth of the water column. Vertical distributions of fish eggs and larvae were influenced by oceanography conditions such as temperature, salinity, and thermocline depth. No discernible difference in mean thermocline depth was observed between day and night.
