문학 언어와 담론 ; 임철우 소설의 의미 강화 기법 연구 -『봄날』 이전의 중,단편소설을 중심으로

임철우는 광주의 오월을 소설화 해내려는 시도를 꾸준하게 한 작가이다. 오월에 대해 자신이 지닌 죄의식과 부끄러움을 부채의식으로 느끼며 소설 작업을 한 결과, 그는 80년대 한국문학을 대표하는 작가 중의 한 사람으로 자리매김 되었다. 그는 『봄날』로 오월을 총체적으로 복원해 내었다는 평가를 받기도 했다. 본고는 『봄날』 이전의 중·단편소설들을 대상으로 삼아 임철우 소설의 의미 강화 기법을 밝혀내려는 시도를 하였다. 소설 언어의 의미 강화 기법과 소설의 의미 강화 기법이라는 항목으로 나누어 소설의 의미화 기법을 구체화시켜 보았다. 소설 언어의 기법은 임철우 소설에 특징적으로 드러나는 독백과 고백의 언어 현상에 주목하였다. 독백은 인물 내면의 고통을 드러내는 언어이며, 고백은 죄의식과 부끄러움을 표현하기에 적합한 언어라고 논의를 전개했다. 소설의 의미 강화 기법은 소설의 주제를 드러내는 방식의 하나로 채택한 것으로 알레고리를 들었으며, 인물의 명명 방식으로 소설 속에서 인물들에게 알맞은 역할을 부여하여 소설의 의미를 강화했음을 밝혀보았다. Im Chul-woo is a short story writer, who has been tried to fictionalize of May-Gwangju. He felt strong guilt and wistfulness about May-Gwangju. On that reason, he has been written many short stories about May-Gwangju. So, he valued as one of the 80`s writers. He wrote novel Spring Days. It was evaluated as a total representation of May-Gwangju. On this study, I tried to make clear Im Chul-woo`s short stories signification. I classified linguistic signification and fictional consolidating signification. First, as to the linguistic signification, I mentioned monologue and confession. Because those two were the characteristic linguistic phenomena of IM Chul-woo`s stories. Monologue is the language to express character`s inner agony. Confession is the appropriate language to express guilt and wistfulness. Second, as to the fictional consolidating signification, I referred to allegory and naming scheme. Allegory is a technique to reinforce the theme of stories. With the naming scheme, Im Chul-woo endowed a specific role to the characters. On that technique, the writer consolidated his stories signification.

김승옥 소설의 60년대적 특징에 대한 고찰

김승옥은 다수의 연구자들에 의해 `60년대 작가`라고 불린다. 작가 스스로도 그 용어를 기꺼이 수용한다. 이러한 합의는 김승옥의 소설이 60년대의 특징을 담지하고 있다고 파악할 수 있는 충분한 이유가 된다. 그러한 이유로 본고는 김승옥의 소설이 60년대 정서를 어떠한 방식으로 표현 해냈는지를 밝히려는 시도에서 출발한다. 김승옥 소설의 60년대적 특징을 나타내는 것으로 소설의 내적 특징과 주체의 특징을 항목으로 하여 고찰하였다. 소설의 내적 특징으로는 전쟁체험의 내면화, 고통스런 자기세계의 형성, 도시와 고향에서의 소외로 구분하여 각각의 특징을 찾아보았다. 김승옥 소설에 나타난 주체의 특징으로는 경계에 선 주체와 성찰적 주체를 소항목으로 하여, 김승옥식의 60년대 주체들의 특징을 살폈다. 60년대의 다른 작가들에 대한 연구를 병행하여 김승옥 소설의 특징을 비교, 검토하는 기회를 기대해본다. Kim Seong-og is called as a 1960`s novelist by literary researchers. Even the writer himself recognized it. This means Kim Seong-og`s novels express 1960`s characteristics. So, this paper starts from the try to define how the Kim Seong-og`s novels express 1960`s sentiment. This paper contemplates intrinsic characteristics and subjects characteristics as Kim SeongOk novels`s characteristics. As to the intrinsic characteristics, suggested three clauses. Those are internalization of civil war experience, formation of his own world and alienation from city and hometown. Among those three clauses, internalization of civil war experience has a main role to solve absence of father, which often showed up to Kim Seong-go`s novels, and obsession to form of his own world. As to the subject`s characteristics, suggested two clauses. Those are the subjects who are standing on the boundary and the introspective subjects. Kim Seong-og`s subjects show up as boundary subjects, who can not settle down to city and hometown either. This characteristics has a relation to introspective subjects.

일반논문 : 오월 소설의 트라우마 유형과 문학적 치유 방안 연구

본고는 오월 소설에 나타난 트라우마의 양상을 살펴본 것이다. 더 많은 타자와 공유하기 위해 어떻게 해서든지 이야기하지 않으면 안 되었던 5·18에 대한 기억은 많은작가들에게 부끄러움과 죄의식의 화인을 남겨주었다. 본고는 우리 사회의 ‘고통의 유물’을 기록해 놓은 오월 소설 중 임철우의 『봄날』,이순원의 『얼굴』그리고 최윤의 『저기 소리 없이 한 점 꽃잎이 지고』를 기본 텍스트로 하여, 그 소설에 드러나는 트라우마의 양상을 죄의식의 현재화된 그날의 침투, 부재증명을 위한 과각성, 외상기억의 억제라는 항목으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 트라우마는 심각한 기계적 충격, 철도 사고, 그리고 생명이 위협받을 수 있는 기타사고를 겪은 후에 발생하는 상황으로, 놀람과 경악이 그 주된 원인인 듯하고, 그것과 동시에 가해진 상처나 상해가 일반적으로 신경증의 발생에 저항해서 작용한다는 특징을 두드러지게 나타낸다고 한다. 실제 5·18 피해자들의 트라우마 지수가 심각한 수준이라는 것을 보여주는 사회학계의 연구물이 있다. 오월 광주의 문제는 5·18의 피해자들에게 뿐만이 아니라 우리 사회 전체의 트라우마로 작용한다. 본고에서 텍스트로 정한 소설들은 그러한 면을 문학적으로 표현해낸다. 광주의 오월이 우리의 기억에서 사라지지 않고 오랫동안 기억되기를 바라지만, 그 상처가 치유되기를 또한 기대한다. 그리고 문학이 트라우마의 치유 또한 기록할 수 있으면 한다. This article looked at traumatic type represented of May short stories. The memory of May 18th leaved sense of shame and guilt to many writers. This article looked into three items of May short stories traumatic type. Those are everlasting intrusion, hyperarousal for the alibi, and constriction of PTSD. This article used basic text as Im chulwoo``s Spring Day, Lee Sunwon``s Face and Choi Yun``s There A Petal Silently Falling Off Trauma is a serious psychological shock after undergone sudden accident, it can be threatened life. It generally caused by fright and astonishment. In reality, sociology article shows the PTSD of May 18th victims. May 18th is not only to the victims`` trauma, but also to the entire society. Three short stories express those aspects literally. I expect May 18th will not disappear in our memory and also expect cure the injury. And I expect literature can write the cure of trauma.

문화교육을 위한 현대소설의 활용 방안 연구 -해외 대학 한국어학과에서의 문화교육을 중심으로-

본고의 목적은 수업 사례를 통해 현대소설을 문화교육에 활용하는 방안을 모색해보는 것이다. 문학작품을 문화교육의 자료로 사용하는 기존의 연구는 대부분 국내 대학과 언어 연수기관에서 공부하는 학생들을 대상으로 한 것이었다. 한류 열기로 인해 해외에서도 한국어를 공부하려는 학생들이 늘고 있는 상황인데, 해외 대학 한국어학과에서 실시하는 문화교육은 국내의 방식과는 다른 접근을 해야 한다고 생각한다. 문화교육의 자료가 풍부한 국내와 달리 해외에서는 자료를 구하는 것도 쉽지 않고 대학에 따라 교육 여건도 차이가 있다. 이러한 상황에서 문학작품은 손쉽게 활용할 수 있는 문화교육의 자료가 된다. 문학작품은 가르쳐야 할 한국의 문화적인 요소를 포함하고 있는 것이어야 하며, 현대를 살아가는 한국인들의 사상과 정서를 전달해줄 수 있어야 하며, 강의시간에 다루기에 적절한 분량이어야 한다. 이러한 조건에 맞는 문학작품은 현대 단편소설이라고 판단하여, 채만식의 「레디메이드 인생」, 주요섭의 「사랑손님과 어머니」, 윤흥길의 「장마」를 문화교육의 자료로 선정하였다. 본고의 연구 성과는 국내의 교육환경을 중심으로 논의되었던 문화교육의 외연을 해외대학으로 확대했다는 것을 들 수 있다. 학습지도안을 통해 현대소설을 활용한 문화교육의 실제를 가능한 한 구체적으로 재현해 보았다. 그러나 본고는 헝가리에서의 문화교육을 위하여 문학작품을 선정한 것이므로 해외대학에서 공통적으로 활용할 수 있는 문화교육의 대상 작품들에 대한 논의는 이후의 과제로 삼는다. This paper aims at showing the class how to use korean modern short stories for korean culture education. Preceding researches related this fields are mostly targeting for students who are studying domestic university and language institute. Thanks to Hallyu, there are many students who want to learn Korean Language at overseas, too. Korean culture education is being held at overseas korean department has to different approaches from domestic korean culture education. Domestic class can use abundant korean culture materials. In contrast, korean departments at overseas are quite different from domestic language class. They can not get culture education materials easily and the given condition of the korean departments are not the same to domestic language institutes. Circumstances like these, korean literature can be good materials for korean culture education Literary texts have to have korean cultural factors to be taught. Second, have korean``s thought and sentiment. Third, proper quantity to manage in class. Korean modern short stories are suitable for those conditions. I selected Chae Manshik``s "Ready-made Life", Chu Yosup``s "Mama and the Boarder", Yun Hyenggil``s "Rainy Season." The outcome of this paper is expanding the scope of the culture education. Actual states of class are represented in a concrete way through lesson plans. But this paper focuses on culture education only in Hungary. For the common using of culture education in overseas korean language department has to be a next research theme.
